They are NOT raising the price of video games again.

You could say "oh, well the price probably isn't final..." but really, where else did they get that price estimate? Wouldn't you assume they would have put it up for $60.

Damnit, I can barely afford a single $60 game any time of the year that isn't around Christmas. I can't afford for the prices to keep going up. :/
70 do-... wait, there's a third Final Fantasy XIII game now?
As an Australian, I think it's said I see that a new AAA game costs $70 & I think "Not bad"
And they wonder why people just wait for sales now a days.

Next gen will be $70 + $50 in DLC per game.

LOL yeah, still $20 cheaper than what we'd pay at a store.
Thank god I quit smoking...

at this rate games are going to cost as much as a Neo-geo cart. For those who don't know Neo-geo games were around 150 to 300 dollars..
I think this is just a special case, because every other 2013 console game I've looked up costs $59.99

That YOU know of...
S-E knows they have a major hit here! I expect to see the next CoD and BF to follow suit if this sells well.
I was all like oh no, but then I saw it's final fantasy game. I think jap rpg devs just like to sell their games for more, I doubt it's going to become a standard price.
eh

didn't 13 and 13-2 have LEs that were about that price when they came out?

it's probably a preorder for a le instead of a vanilla version.

"Official pricing and release date have not been announced by the publisher. These are estimates only and subject to change. Pre-orders will be covered by the pre-order price guarantee and only be charged the lowest price available during the date the order was placed and the final release date."

Also the same thing happened with Wii U launch titles ($99.99 price tags).
People are actually willing to pay those kinds of prices these days? I don't think I've spent much over $20 on a game since TW2.
I think 13-2 had a similar price put up for a while pre-release.
