I used to have GOG news sent straight to my reader so when I logged on to google reader when I wake up/get home from work I'd have any updates along with the rest of my news sites, but I noticed with the new site that I no longer receive options, so I figured I must have to set up the new site to have it send news to my RSS feed...but I can't seem to find any RSS option on the site?

Can someone inform me of if/how I can have the new GOG site send news to my RSS feed (since that way I won't forget to check news updates) and if there is no option with the new site, would the GOG people be kind enough to put one back in?
They took away a dedicated news page, I'm not surprised they messed up the RSS as well. (There's another thread about the RSS feed being broken).

I want a dedicated news page back. It's a lot quicker to check for news when the page is mainly news, and my eyes don't have to hunt for what I'm looking for.

No, I don't want RSS.
You could go to GOG's Twitter feed at http://twitter.com/GOGcom and add it to your Google Reader (if you have to enter the feed's URL, that would be: http://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/18334111.rss). It's not as good as the RSS feed and I hope GOG decide to bring it back.

edit:

This might serve as a replacement for the official RSS feed:
http://www.ponyfish.com/feeds/99343HevqFNLG

Its main disadvantage is that it is updated only once every four hours and it might cease to function at some point.

I'm anti-twitter so the Twitter feed doesn't work for me lol. And I agree with what figmentPez said, I hate having to look somewhere to find something as simple as news. One thing I took away from a web design course I took in college years ago was that the best designed web sites should have all the pertinent information at an easy to see place. I hope GOG realizes their mistake and brings back a dedicated news feed. Rejoin the 21st century with your news GOG! I think you're one of maybe two or three bookmarked sites that I have that doesn't have an RSS feed (the other one being Kryptonsite for Smallville).
Apologies for necroposting, but I just thought that this might be useful for anybody finding the site via seach.

I can't find any link to it but the RSS feed is alive and well (obviously - where else would the GOG site's own news stream come from?):

still necro, but it wasn't really well... main problem, when you access the RSS, all the news have the current date and time, so it makes it quite difficult to get the right order :)

My problem is that for every update I get the latest 8 news everytime. Using the brief-addon for firefox, but as far as I remember I had similar problems with the sage addon.

Edit: Checked it closer, they always updated the time stamp for the latest eight posts. Solution would be to leave the seven old posts untouched ;-)

This is the same reason, I am trying to implementing it into the Wiki, but only get the same news, as all of them ahve the same timestamp (the current day and time)

It seems the feeder tracks the whole frontpage for changes and then take all 8 news from there using the update time. They need to change it back to each news and not the whole frontpage.

Edit: Wait, I'm stupid. The frontpage shows only the latest 7 news. So why they update the last 8 news post?
