triock: Same here. :p
Okay, now I'm convinced you've hijacked triock's account. First the new avatar, and now you don't say "This"? ;)

Shaolin_sKunk: Because it's completely superfluous and we're better off without.

They did add it for a little while but it must have been a mistake because they took it off like within a day.
Or there's the possible reason that it was abused within that timeframe.

Personally, signatures are useful (to link to youtube channels without posting them every single time) and if people don't want to see them, a setting could easily be added that hides them completely to those users who select that option.

To each their own.....

Currently you can have a title under your user name.

For me that is enough. ^_^

The title is capped to 16 characters. If it was longer, then fine: 16 characters is tiny. -.-
There actually are forum signatures, yet only 5 star users are able to see them. It is known.

Shukaku: Is there any particular reason why the ability to add a forum signature to the end of posts is not included here ? I only just noticed it (2 years after the fact -.-) and wondered why.
Why would you want every post to be followed by something completely irrelevant to the discussion at hand? They're useless clutter, and we're far better off without them.

The forum software still doesn't allow italics to go across multiple lines.

I think that would be a higher priority...[/i]

There's also that short field under a person's username that serves that purpose.

That's supposed to be a secret (

This. I've seen in nearly every forum for the last decade. A check box in settings to enable/disable signatures.
That way people that want to avoid clutter can avoid it. But gog has other priorities.

Like I said a couple posts ago, all GOG has to do is have a setting for each user if they want to hide signatures on posts. It really is not that hard and every other software has it and it gives you the choice if you want to see them or not. They're not useless clutter: I'd fair to bet a lot of people here would like to have a signature with a link to their youtube channel.

How about a compromise? They include the feature and one half of a radio button setting with only the "off" option. :-P

Considering how far they are behind on coding the forum software, I don't think they should be adding new features until the ones they have work.

And yet Barefoot Essentials was updated almost immediately to hide it!

I'd like to say thanks to Barefoot_Monkey for constantly updating the script. We appreciate it!
Yeah the response was negative to say the least, but at least it was kept in text format.
