Does anybody else find it hilarious that there are online servers that "don't allow cussing?"
I mean, you're killing people for god's sake. I can understand wanting to limit fighting, but I don't think getting rid of the cursing is going to do it. In my opinion, it's completely over the top to ban someone for cursing in an M rated or 16+ game.
There's worse atrocities that happen in game than someone saying "Go Fark your Mother you Arsehole!"

I was kicked from a Battlefield 1942 server for saying "slakin the bacon" once. Then I got kicked from the same server for saying "you buttholes."

Yeah, I've seen them too. Many times it is a "Christian Game Server". But yes, it is pretty ridiculous, especially when they attempt to use plugins to warn/kick/ban someone if someone says a naughty word in the chat. But, at that point, you can just go find another server.

They have servers?!?!

Just as Aliasalpha says, it seems to be a pretty standard American attitude when it comes to media. Look at Heroes - you can have a cheerleader have her head sliced open in pretty gruesome detail, but God forbid she says "Ow that fucking hurts" because *that* would be offensive.

Some people don't like hearing a swear word every other word. I'm not sure what is hard to understand about that.

If you play on a server where people would use a swear word every other word, you probably don't like communication in there anyhow. But if server full of intelligent people kicks you because you wish to express your frustration or whatever one can use swearing for (exaggeration and obvious irony in my case), in addition while playing a game when killing is normal, well... That's kinda idiotic
