I think anything from Nintendo is for kids.

scampywiak: How is Mario and that princess? Jumping on mushrooms?

So much meat there for adults..
Yeah, because COD is for adults, right? Oh man, kids these days.

OmegaX: God forbid and adult could enjoy a game for its gameplay instead of having to watch hours of cutscenes and scripted scenes in a generic middle east setting.
Also, if you think the Metroid Prime series is kiddie then I pity you.
Metroid, a character based on some Japanese developer's infatuation with Kim Basinger, yes, much to discover there.

And for game play, I'm intrigued by the narrative depth of both Zelda and Mario, after countless iterations, they just keep on giving. Mario - he still jumps, and never disappoints as a cliche Italian jumping dude. And Link, always the emo blonde. So different each time, so innovative. Nintendo, what would we do without their innovation?

Metroid is a jelly fish looking alien, I don't see the resemblance to Kim Basinger :P Are you saying that if a character is based on the looks of a real person then it isn't a good character or something? I don't see your point if you even have one. Leliana from Dragon Age is based on a porn actress, that must mean DA:O is crap, right?
So for you gameplay is the same as narrative? Maybe for point and click adventure games or interactive movies that would be the case. Good story is nice for certain genres but it's hardly required for others. Otherwise Doom would the worst game ever.
If you refuse to look past the characters instead of actual gameplay mechanics, and level design the that's your loss.
I'm almost certain that Nintendo is going to make this console region locked. At this point it's pretty much expected after the Wii and 3DS.

Even with that I'm kind of interested in this...although I'm not buying it day 1 unless someone amazing comes out.

Every single Nintendo home console has been region locked, it's definitely going to happen with Wii U.
Whenever I hear WiiU I think of this. :)
When I think of Wii U...I think of this.
I think i'll stick with my boring old Wii.
There's a chance I'll just move to an Xbox 360. The Wii was the first console I owned, and its controls made playing fun (I don't like console controllers), but I think that Kinect is where it's at now.

Trollfail. Your points need to make a bit of sense. If you just spout nonsense then people are going to clock what you're doing.
WiiU specs finally revealed;

Wii U will be powered by a CPU which features three IBM Power PC Cores, an AMD series 7 GPU and 1GB of memory available to games. The console’s CPU is apparently formed of three IBM Power PC cores of an undefined clock speed, though reports suggest this to be lower than the Xbox 360 and PS3. The developers also say that the machine has 1GB of RAM available to games which is approximately twice that of the Xbox 360. The GPU is a custom AMD 7 series, supporting shader type 4 and DX10 type features, with embedded eDRAM.

Just above the power of a PS3, and Nintendo is constantly saying how this is a "Next Gen" system

Pretty much this. The WiiU's specs may be underwhelming but the platform is still a huge upgrade for first party Nintendo titles.
AMD series 7? That's unexpected. Initial guesses said it would be a custom HD Radeon 48xx.
