lugum: Some more power? Yeah that makes it convincing to save $30-40 on getting a 2ds rather then a 3ds.
Zchinque: As it's pretty clear it's meant for a younger audience, a cheap entry point certainly makes sense.
As for the games, just like the ds you get like 10-20 AAA titles and the rest is all My Pony etc.
Zchinque: Not sure what you're getting at here. And I do not at all see how it backs up your earlier argument that a 3DS game without 3D should somehow be playable on a DS.
Because the major future of the 3DS is the
3D part (hence the name) with that removed, it just acts like a normal ds game. Or are you really thinking the graphics would be that much different/better? doubt that.
The ds has over 6000 releases , name more then 30 really good games. It will happen with the 3DS too.
Just as it is happening with the Wii U, stores are already pulling the consoles from the shelves.
Never said anything about that it should be playable, just saying a 3DS without the 3d would not make that much difference over a normal DS. Atleast no valid reason to get another $120 computer especially if you already have a DS.
I have a DS and i would like a 3Ds in the future, but that's what i would buy, not ever a 2DS. Why skimp over $40.
Also a DS and a 2DS are about the same price, only the first has the big game catalogue at the moment.
Once the 2DS/3DS catalogue has grown, there will be another nintendo portable but then the 2DS/3DS price would have dropped just as it did with the DS.
