You don't say! A Japanese product made by a Japanese company, and the first place it'll be sold is Japan? Well I never! ;-p
And they even speak japanese. Assholes.
What?! It's a DS that is 3D without glasses? How is that possible?
I had forgotten the magic Nintendo have for making great games until i bought a DS and i imagine with a 3D screen they will have more original titles up their sleeve.

Basically the screen has twice as many pixels as usual, and extremely narrow viewing angles. Lenses in front of the pixels are angled so that half of the pixles direct their light to your right eye and the other half to your left eye. Because of the narrow viewing angles the image intended for the left eye won't be seen by the right eye or vice versa.
This tech obviously requires your head to be in a very specific position relative to the screen, so it will only work for one viewer at a time. Not suitable for TV or cinema in other words, but it might be a good fit for the DS.

That even means us Hong Kong people get it before any of YOU get it!
Unless you live in Japan.

Nintendo DS and Wii were released first in America.

That can be don be 3d effects, some layer that makes a 3d effect or camera's and a accelerometer. That's all the possibilities that I know so far. Beat the American idea of using 3d glasses.
It's just Virtual Boy 2.0. That went over really well. Hope they do better this time.

That videoclip of the dsiware was awesome... like the old jonny lee wiimote facetracking.
(does it mean the DSi has 3d chips for both screens?)
Frankly i think that kind of face tracking 3d is more impressive than the glasses wearing 3d of something like avatar... though of course it has the major drawback that it only works for one person. But on a handheld system it'd be no problem.
A family friend had a camera that took 3D pictures and displayed 3D images for previewing. I'd imagine it's like that. The only problem is that it's inferior to other forms of 3D that require glasses.
Nintendo, don't let me down!
Getting tired of the 3D revolution coming around today.
For movies, people have been going nuts over it, despite the fact it being around for ages.
Now gaming is going nuts over it. We saw how that worked with the Virtual Boy.
I would really like to see a head mounted display system, so long as it was done in fairly high res instead of the low end models currently available for PC use.
Unimpressed. Please give me more PC games and not this Nintendo shit....
