It depends on where the key is for.

- For Desura, either go to http://desura.com/gifts and enter the code on the right-hand side, or add it through your game manager... uh... somewhere in there :p

- For GOG you scroll down to the bottom of the main page and click on 'Redeem gift'

- For Steam, you open the Steam (Valve) application, then click on the 'Add a Game' button in the lower left corner.
