Gamersgate gift cards are a little like that too - in that you can see what it is before you redeem.
Would be much better if more services did similar, but then I don't think ninja thread's needs are high on their priority list! O_o

Agreed. I don't use Steam, but I really wish that Desura had implemented the same "check before redeem" system than GOG. Usually givers of Desura keys tell which game they're for, but when it isn't the case, I don't try to redeem them, either. ;)
