Really? I know of a British acquaintance who managed to get the porn block off his internet without a charge.

Ah, in my case they only accept a passport (which i dont have and I refuse to get a biomentric one on principle) or a charge (which I also refuse on principle), but then they only allow you to view content they deem "adult" that they make money from - so still no art sites! Stupid!

That's interesting. My acquaintance found out about the porn block the very moment it went up and called support and complained about it. They said: "Sorry. We can remove this for a 2.xx GBP charge." and he went: "I am not happy to pay that." Support replied with: "Ok. We will remove it without charge."

Yeah I did the same kinda thing - even though I trained the manager on a bar over ten years ago, he was still powerless to do anything due to the paperwork involved.
It really bothers me art (and by that I mean generally) is blocked by this kinda thing, yet theres no restrictions on graphic violence, extremist religious organisations or the likes to go with it. Friggin stupid!
