One of the worst things about Steam. Imagine you have a code and you're not sure if it's been redeemed or not. You want to check before you give it to someone. But you can't check, for some odd reason.

If you purchased it yourself, can't you go to your steam gift items, and look to see what you have available, as well as "pending gifts" in your inventory? Mind you, I haven't used steam much since christmas when they changed the whole trading and layout stuff... Cause i like GOG better.. :)

For inventory items, yes, but not for keys. Two separate things. Inventory gifts can be emailed or traded. Keys can only be "redeemed". GOG, on the other hand, has a confirmation screen when you enter a gift code to show you what you're redeeming.

I like GOG a little better, too. ;)

I like them both, they complement well.

What he/she/it said, while I used to play quite a bit of the original DOTA mod I really can't bring myself to deal with the average douchebag LOL and DOTA player now which is a shame since I do like the DOTA/MOBA genre, at least I have Awesomenauts which for now has a less annoying/douchebag player base.

That. And also, i have the ship, and dont want it. Unfortunately it's tied to my steam account, lol.

I also don't play DOTA but The Ship is a great game imho, you should try it gameon.
