This is why i rarely give away stuff on forums. People take the keys and rarely warn people that they took it.

It's not that bad here. I gave away quite a few keys today and before, and all people were nice and thankful.

But it's better usually to "hide" a key somehow, on a picture or reverse it, etc. Random lurkers will eventually not be fast enough to grab the key without saying thanks afterwards.

i think that would be harsh, if you think GOG is like that in general - always better to substitute 1 of the letters, and then put below what it is - stops bots.

It is a bit upsetting when you put time and effort into giving something away, hoping someone recieves it, only to find someone has snatched it away ungratefully.

But you can always do a giveaway thread, where you choose your own parameters for entering the contest, and who it goes to. So you'd know who gets it.
