So I am getting a Nexus 7 32GB tomorrow (that is, the company I ordered it from told me it had been sent, so it should be here tomorrow...).

Anyway, I'm pretty new to Android so I was wondering: do any of my fellow gog'ers have some suggestions about games for this tablet? PC is and will be my first platform of choice for gaming, but it would be nice to able able to play when I'm not at home. I'm into most games, so feel free to mention anything that comes to mind, but my preferences are (in random order) Action, RPG, Racing, Cards and maybe Sports. But as I said, other genres are welcome as well.

Just one request:
Please don't make this a Android pro/com thread, or start to explain why gaming for Android s*cks and why I really should have gotten an iPad/Surface/Playbook or whatever. This is just about Android game recommendations. Please keep it that way.

If you like puzzle games, check out CrossMe and CrossMe Color. They're both nonogram games that are exceptionally well designed and frequently updated with new puzzles (at no additional cost).

Also, don't forget to grab the Humble Android Bundle 4 before it expires. They should all play very well on the Nexus 7.
I think Auralux is awesome - grand strategy game with a cool style. It's probably my favorite Nexus 7 game right now.
Get Avadon if you like RPG's.

Check the Humble Indie Bundle, you can get a bunch of fine android games to start with:
http://www.humblebundle.com/

Indie Gala has also some Indie games on sale, as example Call Of Cthulhu: The Wasted Land. It's a really good turn-based-tactical game:

I'll probably be able to tell you more once I get my Nexus 7. :)

For now I agree with the recommendation to get the current Humble Android Bundle. Waking Mars got very good reviews, and the others should also be good games. If you pay above average you'll also get the aforementioned Avadon and some other cool games.

For now i only have an Android phone with a rather small screen and weak processor. It's not that great for games and can't run many, but I did enjoy Plants vs. Zombies (more than I did on the PC, and I did enjoy it there too) and Need for Speed Shift (a rather simple racer, but I had fun with it).

Shadowgun is a shooter that's considered pretty good, and I have it but didn't get much into it. I think that a bigger screen and more powerful processor will help.

Heroes Call is an action RPG (free, unlike the previous games I mentioned), and I only played it a little but it's pretty good looking IMO.

For cards the only one I tried is 250+ Solitaire Collection (also free). It's pretty good, though I still prefer Cafe Solitaire on my Nokia 6120c.

These are my recommendations for now. Maybe I'll have more when I get my Nexus 7. Also if you're on GOG maybe you'd like playing old games. There's ScummVM, DosBox (DosBox Turbo is the best, far as I've read here) and some other engines for playing them on Android.
You can get Chrono Trigger on Android now, I'm sure it would look great on a nexus 7.

kodeen: Get Avadon if you like RPG's.
Based on an email I looked at this morning, this was added as a "beat the average" bonus game to the Humble Bundle in the past day. So just $7 gets you 11 games.

I really like Avadon, but I think it's better on the PC--not for content (which is exactly the same), but for the controls. Also, I'm not sure how well it'll look/play on a 7-inch screen; it felt small and somewhat clunky on my 10-inch tablet. But you get the PC version as well with the bundle.

(On a related note, I installed Cogs from a previous bundle, also now a bonus game in the current bundle, and then spent the next two hours playing it... and I'm not even a fan of puzzle games.)

They're more simulation games (which weren't mentioned), but I quite like Kairosoft games. Since I mostly play on my Galaxy Player when I'm waiting while out and about (in waiting rooms and the like), these fit the light fare of playing a few minutes here and there.

(Though I should add that the last "update" they did for these games was to put an ad for their latest game on the initial screen. Since that was the only place and only ad, it didn't bother me, but I know some people are/were/would be upset by "placing ads in a paid game".)

Pocket League Story
Think Championship Manager Very-Very-Very-Light (And Easy)
The objective is take a team from unknown club to premiere league.
I lucked into this one just after getting my tablet and picked it up for 99 cents on sale.

Game Dev Story
I think, one of their first games (about a company that makes games). Cheaper than any of their other paid games ($2.50US compared to the usual $5).

Dungeon Village
A city builder with a touch of Majesty's pay to get quests done.

Again, none of these have any real difficulty to them. Replayability is geared toward "can you beat your last score", so they may not be worth full price for some people. If you run across them on a 99 cent sale, I would recommend them.

I know it is not a game, but Wave Live wallpaper is really awesome.
Broken Sword: Director's Cut

Playing through it now!
I've already mentioned this on another Android thread, but get Rayman Jungle Run. It is amazing.

For a racing game I'd recommend checking out Real Racing 2. Although you might be better off waiting for a sale. Play store tends to have a crazy sales ala Steam where you get really awesome deals.

I've had Nexus 7 since July and really love it still!
If you like RPG's, you can try The Bard's Tale, which includes the modern "reimagining" and the classic trilogy.
Yeah bard's tale is pretty cool. I spend a lot of time with Where's My water and Cut the rope. They are more casual stuff but its much fun when you dont have much time to play.
