Darvond: Actually, I don't think that even casuals are the target.

I think its a demographic far worse than casuals.

American dudebros and people like PewDiePie who would do anything for a dollar and 15 seconds of attention are the target. The sort of people who I wish to send off to the laboratories for experimentation.
Luckily I'm a big proponent of unfettered scientific research and would give you a grant to do this research if I had the money :D

Elenarie: I killed a bug few days ago, that also must be Microsoft's fault. :) Seems like the smart Internet folks of today blame them regardless of whether they actually had anything to do with the subject or not.
And in the end they are the ones that "vote with their wallets" and buy it anyway :\
It's the same bullshit every generation

Companies try to convince people how "OMG BUY OUR CONSOLE, LOOK AT IT, IT'S SO ADVANCED AND AMAZING"

Suckers fall for it, while I keep yawning and looking for games that interest me

PhoenixWright: Well this certainly backs up my argument that the N64 was an incredible console!
Back then Nintendo was one the biggest leaders in Videogame development and innovation, it had incredibly talented programmers, this has nothing to do with the console itself

Dzsono: they have to market to millions of ignorant casual users just to break even.
It's kind of Sad how the 360 actually started decent but the more time passed the worse it became for core gamers

In before Orcish comes in with a childish tantrum

Will you be choosing BUILD, EXPLORE, CONQUER, or DISCOVER?
I played the original Mario and Ninja Crusaders on the NES where fish, squid and aliens swam to you. Although you couldn't touch them heh.

This type of "next gen" stuff doesn't interest me one bit. Deep, varied and fulfilling gameplay does and so does good storytelling.
Really? I was pretty sure fish never were getting from your way in any games before! Thanks for clarifying that.

By the way, have you visited a doctor yet? You have a strong drive to create at least 2 threads a day about almost everything you do.

You mean by making its services more accessible to all people and not just some elitist jerks?

No, I mean with Microsoft having the mentality of "Let's release Gears and Halo and that's enough for Core Gamers" which continues to this day

The 360 was already "Accessible" from day 1, so I'm not sure what exactly you mean when you say "More accessible to everyone"

Last time I checked, the 360 still has many timed exclusives games and DLCs and pretty much all major franchises are released for it? So, I am not sure what you're trying to say here.

RayRay13000: I found the video hilarious.

Perhaps it's just me, but maybe I could give Activision the benefit of the doubt if they make the AI for the fish do more than just swim aimlessly.
Yes they should make that every fish has it's own daily routine like other NPCs: sleeping, hunting for food and so on. ^^

But why everything has to be more accessible nowadays? I don't think every game in the world is meant for me to be played.

I like the challenge, I like when a game is treating me like a bitch and giving me a hard time. And when some game is too hard for me, not enough friendly and forgiving, I... find myself other game?

When something is meant for everyone it actually is for noone. Because everybody has a different taste, so it's not that apealing to anyone.

Thank the gods we have kickstarter now, so there is some hope for elitist jerks like me, who want to play the games without being hold by hand.

...Like?

What exactly came out in 2012 on the 360 that was supposed to impress me?

What is coming out this year on the 360 and One that's supposed to catch my attention?

niniendowarrior: I suddenly remember the Xbox One chatter about a dog... "This isn't just any dog... this is a dog you care about!"

Wow... what video game PR bullsh*t. LOL.
Hey, don't diss the Weighted Companion Dog. :p

Wow I always thought Console wise you were a sony fan Roman 5.
I played a PacMan clone called Catchum sometime in the 80s, where the ghosts would run away from you if, and only if, you tried to get to a power pill (ie. even before you actually ate the power pill; so they were kinda anticipating what your true intentions were). Otherwise they'd try their best to catch you.

I think that alone is already more advanced AI than the suggested "they run away if you get close to them".

However, I remember when Sony said PS2 has an "emotion engine" which is so powerful that the console can depict real human emotions and shit, like making the characters on your TV _smile_. That's probably why I care so much for my PS2. It loves me, so I love it back. PS3 and XBox360 feel such cold and calculating bitches in comparison.

I am, Sony was always king and still is King in the console realm

But I'm not a "Fanboy" of anything, just giving credit where credit is due, Nintendo pushed forward huge innovations in the industry (just like SEGA) however the company that Nintendo was 10-15 years ago is a much different company than what it is today, it's a real shame that some people still are unable to realize this
