I just registered yesterday here, and just wodering on what ways i can earn my reputations? :)

Welcome to GOG.
1 rep point per day you post, 5 rep points for posting a solution to a question.
Getting a high rated post will give you up to 5 points per day, unsure of upper limit. Low rated post will cost you up to 5 rep points a day, unsure if there's a limit.

Fastest way to lose reputation is to complain about reputation. Ignore the rep and participate in the discussions, and your rep should rise naturally.

- your first post everyday gives you +1
- answering a question and getting marked as the solution gives you +5 (IIRC)
- posting helpful/funny/interesting comments or hosting giveaways that users vote up will also make your rep increase, though not +1 per vote and no more than +5 a day

Edit: Ninja-ing me however will seriously de-rep you. JMich used to be at 1500 rep before he ninja-ed me in this topic. You have been warned.

What the others said, although it's probably worth mentioning that rep doesn't actually mean anything. There are no additional forum privileges, no bonuses and no free games for it.

And on that topic, don't forget to give JMich his 5 points by marking his response as the answer if he's answered your question :)

Rep can change by +/- 5 per day. A single high rated post can give you multiple points, but up to 5 per day.
At least that is what my observations showed me back at my 1000 rep giveaway though I guess Xyem has a few more details.

No, I just upvoted you to make sure and your rep remained stable. You need a couple of votes for a +1 and from personal experience I think you need a higher number of votes to go from e.g. +4 to +5 on a single comment than you need for a +1...
