So basically, they want something so specific because of which they do not fall into any target zone of current console-makers. They are obviously not the target zone. What is the issue here?

Console's gamers complaining about "features" they don't like in the next of generation of... consoles... yes, totally unbelievable, how dare they!

Lets say I make a console that requires you to be in chains while playing games. My target zone would be people that like to be chained, and there would be no reason for me to even consider the other console gamers, because the ones I mentioned are my target zone.

Why would other console gamers come with anger and hatred and rage and whatever at me when the console I am selling is not for them? Because they feel entitled it to be made for them or something?

EDIT: Specifically for the internet connection requirement... the ones that do not have internet are not the a target, simple as that. They, if they want a console, should find themselves another one.

Perhaps I am too much down-to-earth and do not get attached to objects, but seriously, I do not see a single reason for one to be raging about. If you don't like something, find yourself something else that you would like, not waste your time and energy to bring down other people's hard work for pretty much no reason.

And if you do pay a fee (U$ 50 a month, the same price of the Live subscription) on the PS3 you get access to a vast library of FREE games. FREE fucking games for your PS3, your PSP, your PSVITA AND EVEN PS1 CLASSICS. It's insane that Microsoft still charges just for the benefit of playing online. Sony has already given great games such as LBP 2, Infamous 2, Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted Golden Abyss, Gravity Rush, Vanquish, RE5, SSF4 Arcade Edition, Jet Set Radion, Castlevania Symphony of the Night, Spyro trilogy, the Crash trilogy and the Syphon Filter trilogy and many others free for subscribers. Last month i got Sleeping Dogs and it's DLCs for free for fuck's sake.

While Sony does that Microsoft charges you for the benefit of playing online. Yeah, yeah.

You're not really wrong in this "don't complain about stuff not meant for you" business. The problem is what happens when Fallout 4 is an XBONE exclusive because Microsoft paid a ton of money to make it one? I'm a massive open-world RPG fan, it's pretty much why I play video games, and Fallout is one of my favorite series.

Now, the machine might be largely intended for group X, but MS is certainly not above paying some money to try and attract group Y as well. Since I will not support the system I just lose out on being able to play the game. That sucks and is worth complaining about.

It's not as simple as "I don't watch sports so who cares about ESPN." It's much murkier waters.

Because other powers that be may get the same idea not to mention the current generation won't be able to hold the old chain in the future because who wants to continue to fund chain servers 24/7?

In the end it's nothing like it saying It’s good to see you out of those chains to people that managed to get to a platform that doesn't hold them back, now or in the future.

Maybe if this PS4 rox Xbox1 sucks hype stays for a little longer, people will finally see they don't need to be fucked over and play online for no extra charge or get a shitload of extras if they do pay.

There were rumours on NeoGaf suggesting that the PS4 will require a 60 dollars yearly sub for basic online gaming.
