I have a lot more problems with my playstation over the years. Everything from faulty disc drives to crap network cards. So answer to your question would me... ME!

The answers are: "probably not", and "a large percentage of 360 owners".

I'm excited to see robust competition in the market place. I've never owned a console and probably never will, but I'm an advocate of anything that will move the industry forward, both creatively and technically.

If you're going to be rude, and are so excited about the Xbox, you might at least answer the question. What is the 'awesome stuff' that it can do? Or do you consider asking about the capabilities of the Xbox as 'being an ass', because it has none? Or why do you get so irate when someone questions the hype?

More curious than actually excited. at least with the always online thing debunked, I guess I will eventually get one, but I cant see that happening for a year or so. I have a spare 360 and may buy one of the $99 dollar ones that will be released soon as a back up, instead of getting the new console.

If anything teaches a company a lesson, it's a billion dollar bill. Personally, I am expecting the next XBox to be rock solid.

Not even slightly. Microsoft have been total dicks for the entire generation with the 360 and couldn't give a damn about their customers. My personal experience with Microsoft across many situations has attributed to this however.
If Microsoft were to pull out all the stocks and release something amazing I still wouldn't buy it. That said, if I managed to win the lottery or win it or whatever I'd probably play it, I'll be honest, but pretty much everything takes a priority.

I just hope there is no actor dressed as Master Chief dancing trepak.

But I am a bit interested to hear whether there was any truth to the "always-online-DRM" rumors. I'm betting it is not at least forced to any games.

Don't worry. There won't be any Trepak. Master Chief will be dancing Gagnam Style, of course! :-)

Not me. Or pretty much anyone else in Japan. Guess that's why it's happening at 2/3 am here. Really, they best thing MS could announce right now is that they won't be bothering to release it here. That'd do us all a favour and save them humiliation.

Hm. Still no reply as to what the special things are that 'this machine can do'. I guess that is a kind of answer as well. When no one can explain why it is so awesome, it probably isn't.

I couldn't care less......and I don't say that out of some sense of superiority. It's just that nothing about the Xbox 360 appealed to me and I have little reason to believe things will be any different with its successor.
