Gets revealed at 6pm tonight (UK time). Anybody else excited about this?
Looking forward to what this new machine can do, and what new games we can expect to see :)

Why? What can it do? Besides computer stuff, that every computer can do (better)?

If you're going to be an ass, just don't reply. I will be watching the conference. I am very curious to see the new console.

Nope.

Microsoft doesn't have a single franchise that really lights my fire, and the rumours about forced online activation (be it always-on or one-time), if true, would basically make having an Xbox over a PC pointless.

I've already got a Wii U (and happy with it), and I'm keeping an eye out to see how Sony handles the matter of DRM on the PS4. If they do that properly (i.e. do not require an internet connection), then I'll be tempted to get a PS4 as well.

But to be frank, I have no reason to be excited about the new Xbox. Maybe I'll be convinced to the contrary, but I doubt it.
I will probably tune in duuring dinner preparation but I would rather watch Unity live course which has already full attendance and starts while I'm still at work anyway :/.

So short answer - No, I'm not. It will be overhyped, long and nothing new. The usual press conference.
Is it gonna be called the 720?
I'm not excited but I'm interested. I'll be reading the summaries at tech sites. I want to know the tech specs and new features. I'm not heavy into consoles in any way (though I do own a Wii and a 360), but new consoles are pretty rare so a new one is still interesting news.

I heard it was going to be called Xbox infinity or so the rumour mill goes

as for the machine itself, eh Microsoft has jack in solid first party exclusives I mean really what are they going to have that everyone else won't? Halo? meh, the first few were okay but now it's just beating the dead horse because it's dead Gears of War? same as Halo a so-so series that is having what little life it had left squeezed out of it Kinect Sports? really..

Honestly without any solid first party exclusives I fail to see any reason to want a Xbox same thing with the 360, hell the only reasons why I have my 360 in the first place was because I got it with my new tv in a black friday deal.

Of course, Xbox and Israel have an interesting background in that LIVE was unavailable in Israel for many years, making imported 360s unusable online. It wasn't until the end of last year that Xbox LIVE (and by extension, GFWL) was available there.
I'm interested in it, but honestly, I see no reason to go out of my way to watch a a carefully crafted marketing stunt from Microsoft. I'll wait until it's actually released and has a decent library of games before I try to assess it in any way.
Not particularly interested in getting one, but it will be nice to have multiplatform games that aren't quite as crippled by the hardware of their low-end platforms.

I find more interesting that the Kinect technology was developed in Israel. But regarding the time it took Xbox Live to arrive, yes, Microsoft took its time. Argentina also got it at the same time, and Turkey a little bit later.
I wonder if the next system will from Microsoft will be rushed out the door, filled with hardware and software issues just like the 360 was at launch

Seriously, after the 360 went through so many problems this generation who is actually interested in going with MS anymore?
