Love this site, just stumbled across it from a Game Informer article. Love what you do! I was surprised to find some huge titles conspicuously absent. No Shawdowrun is forgivable, but no System Shock (1 or 2)? Hopefully the fine minds behind GOG will hunt them up soon...

The old Shadowrun RPGs were not PC games.

System Shock is a mysterious creature with magical abilities, y'know. Years ago a misguided group of monster hunters mistook it for a scary monster, slew it, and took a piece each. Now many call for its resurrection, because the forests just aren't the same without it, but some of the hunters took a boat to Neener Neener land and took their pieces with them. Now, every time someone tries to get the pieces back together, they just get the national Neener Neener Neener treatment from the hunters.

I'm pretty sure not having the System Shocks is also forgivable, considering that no other DD site sells them either

GOG would love to sell System Shock, but the legal situation is a mess. The rights are split between several holders (one of them being an insurance company that doesn't concern itself with gaming at all), and GOG needs permission from all of them. It's not impossible to achieve that (GOG has managed a similarly complex situation for the D&D titles), but so far no solution has been achieved.

I do believe they are working on it. It's a tricky legal beast though, as others have noted.

You know maybe they DO have System Shock already, but they're keeping to themselves to see how many of these threads pop up per year.

Man, it's been so long since I played the orig Shadowrun I forgot it wasn't a PC game. I'd heard rumblings about the S Shock legalities. I just figured since the Bioshock games - much as I love them - blatantly cannibalize S Shock, there may not be enough parts left to put the old games back together.

Never heard of it. Looks like a shooter like CoD. But with much shittier graphics. Pass for me.
