I maybe the only one this is bothering but why do so many people on these boards still have "New user" in their description. Even some people that have been here since 2008 still have that right under their name

I say we do something creative with that space, at least let's replace it with "Old user" for shits and giggles or take an example from: PoSSeSSeDCoW that has "Moove on over" written underneath his name, which I personally think is hilarious

Well the change option is hidden away in My Settings, also people are lazy and/or don't care

I think a lot of people think it changes automatically. They create their account, see it says "New user" and conclude that it's probably tied to your post count or something, the way it is on lots of other forums.

Indeed, there's also one of us (I forgot the name) that instead has a slightly edited version of the original avatar (a monocle was added)... or had, they may have changed it again.

I am against forum titles and post counts because people start thinking them as `points' to gain.
But after few weeks (time, not post count) the `New users' default title should disappear.

I just haven't thought of anything to put there :P

Took me a year to actually notice there was something written under my nickname...

I thought it would go away the longer i have been here but lo and behold i discovered my settings and fixed it. Thank god for my settings.

I was tempted to change mine to Admin, but may of got banned.
