What is it with people who use "video games" as a platform to talking about shit which is completely unrelated to actually playing them? If there's anything I despise, it's this new trend of "video games as culture", as in nothing about the actual act of playing the games and talking about them in specifics, but using them to sprout off as some unrelated political issues.

I think people like this Sarkessian don't give a shit about video games, they care about their own personal politics and that's it, "video games" just gives them a ready-made audience/community, because if she actually made video about sexism in general in society, she would need a higher academic standard.
