langurmonkey: LOL nice try. A childish person can be a threat and a when I say "childish person", I do not mean, a child, an old lady etc. Obviously, a child is no threat. Obviously, an old lady is no threat.
1) Not "an old lady". His "Old Lady". Aka his wife, fiance, girlfriend, significant other.
2) I never claimed a "childish person" is a child. But if someone acts like a child, I don't consider him a threat, thus I stop responding to him. But how exactly do you see a childish person as a threat?

Just because someone is childish doesn't mean, you should take shit from him. People will lose respect for you if you have no self respect. And a 1%er might kill his old lady if she insults him enough. 1%ers are extremely violent people with little patience. That is why they are 1%ers, not 99%ers... I have no personal experience with such people so I could be wrong. What I'm saying is based on what I've seen on TV and what is written on some websites.

amok: do we have to have a slow pan over that bottom in every cut scene she is it? I enjoy looking at a sexy woman, but I do not stick my face up her bottom each time I see one.

We did not get a slow pan over Garrus bottom each time we see him, does it mean women do not like to look at sexy males?

This is so silly it do not even warrant a proper reply. You are just being silly now - on purpose?

Just a question, do you consider HAMC as 1%ers or 99%ers?
Also, people will lose respect of you if you push back against weaker people as well. So the "I don't take shit from him" means that you consider the other to be stronger than you, and you show that you are foolhardy enough to fight back.

When someone opens a door for you, he or she is just being nice. You have to be extremely insecure in order to think that person views you as weak and that is why he or she is opening a door for you.

Silly? Why do you think I'm silly?

And if it doesn't warrant a proper reply , why did you even bother to write that?

I edited my previous post to you but I will just copy and paste the new stuff here. I have no personal experience with such people so I could be wrong. What I'm saying is based on what I've seen on TV(shows like Gangland) and what is written on some websites. Sure, some people will lose respect for you if you push back against someone weaker. I am not one of those people. People lose my respect by being pushovers. Because I don't think being weaker than someone, gives you a free pass to attack people. I'm no Kung Fu master so I'm a lot weaker than such a person. If I go up to such a person, insult them for no reason, I fully expect to get my ass kicked. And I deserved it. And I would lose a lot of respect for the Kung Fu master if he just stood there and took my abuse. And based on what I've seen in TV shows about 1%ers, they find it okay to attack weaker people too if those people show them disrespect. They basically have a no disrespect policy. There is a reason, people see them as bad guys, not good guys. Hells Angels has 1%ers and normal guys who just love that biker lifestyle. So HAMC is both. Some clubs are entirely 1%ers though like Mongols, If I remember correctly.

Look, I wanted to leave this thread. And you post Kate Beaton? <sigh> And I love that weak male lead comic, too. At least now this thread has both Aaron Diaz and Kate Beaton. Life is pretty good.

Anyway, I explained to one particular lady that "I wasn't opening the door because I thought she needed to be taken care of, but because I wanted to take care of her." Sounded good at the time and apparently mollified her. Maybe because the statement was a meaningless maze of words.

It's not chivalry, it's common decency. I open the doors for everyone I think they might need that. No matter the gender, if their hands occupied, I help them.

I wish more people were showing simple gestures of decency in their lives. In Poland most of the people on the street are grimm and sad. If you smile to a stranger on a street, you may get your face smashed in.

This comic is pretty awesome tho :D

langurmonkey: The last 2 sentences here accuse me of having sexist beliefs even though none of my previous posts reveal such a thing. And everything written before that was extremely disrespectful. I'm sure you noticed, after this post of yours, I started being hostile towards you. It wasn't for no reason...
I do not care if you're hostile specifically towards me, and honestly I noticed no change as you've been acting badly for the whole thread. The post was after you called people crazy and feminazis, and right before you started calling people stupid. No matter what you think, you don't "have to in order to get a point across". See, I tried to do it to you using your words in post #369. It didn't make me look all that smart, now did it? I was hoping it'd have some kind of a "oh dear, do I look like that" effect, but it never does and I should know better by now.

In your very first post in this topic you call someone a "crazy feminist". You find this justified and necessary, and to me that means you don't think you're very capable when it comes to verbal expression. With continuous repetition of "crazy feminist" and similar ones, your sexist overtone was well established by the time I made that post. I had asked about the market for men and market for women thing earlier, and you said that you wouldn't take part in what's directed at others, and that women should because they're not the biggest market. That isn't far off from what I said in the post that so offended you.

You added a bit about me suggesting you're a retard. I actually didn't do that. I was making fun of your stance, yes, but not suggesting that you lack thinking capability. I do, however, think that you don't spend much time considering the shades of gray. You might get along with people better if you did.

I do think you're a sexist. I also think the way you're acting isn't all that smart.

/edit: Seems like that part about "hating men" might not have been your words. My bad.

Oh, I forgot, thanks for reminding me. About all these %. As said before 47% of gamers are female, one of your retorts was that they may be playing casual games, and my partner may be an odd one out. That's fine.

However, scroll down that report, and you see that in top seller units by genre Casual accounts for 4% of Video Games and 20% of PC games.

So are you arguing that 47% of the population is buying between 4-20% of the games (while accounting for 48% of the income...), or is there maybe a possibility that some more females out there which may be like my partner?

Anyway, just a thought.

(By the way, remember Guillermo saying something about not catering for Casual games sometime before as it was too small, well RPG's account for 21%, pretty equal according to this :))

Again you are insulting me...I can see you want to end this... LOL She is a crazy feminist. I believe that 100%. And I backed it up. I didn't just say it and not back it up. And there is something wrong with you if you think saying "crazy feminist" reveals sexist beliefs. Because I'm not saying all feminists are crazy. You are again twisting my words into something else. You are hopeless and I have no desire to get along with people like you. Please go away.

Because I wondered if it was silly on purpose.

To answer your question why it is silly - Who says "Women are the beautiful sex"? I sure know that my partner do not.

So again, you project on others what you would do.
I do associate with a few local HAMC, though mostly through common friends. I've been on concerts where they provided security, traded jokes and insults with them, and I've seen how they act. The only time they will push back is if there is a chance they (or the club) will lose face. But attacking someone weaker than them is also going to make them lose face.
As for the Kung Fu master, he wouldn't kick your ass. The first thing they learn, as do Black Belts, is that you do not attack someone who can't defend himself. So no, he wouldn't kick your ass. He wouldn't physically assault you either. He would tell you that he is a black belt (or heavyweight champion, or equivalent), then ask you to stand down.
If you do assault him, he would take you down, but that would be all he would do. Be it with a chokehold, a single punch, or any other disarming technique. They will not do it to inflict harm (break bones, cause permanent damage), but they will take you down. And that comes from living with a black belt holder for the last 7 years or so.

People respond violently to threats. Most people don't perceive insults as threats, or respond to insults with insults. But the loudmouthed, insulting person is usually considered to act childish, and people prefer to ignore them.

Let me ask you this, if you are driving a car and I cut you off, am I a threat or a childish person? Would you honk at me, make a few gestures and let me go, after you vented of, or will you follow me around a few blocks, cutting me off whenever you can, riding my bumper just so I know you don't take any shit from anyone?
