A new 3D side-scrolling Strider game will be coming in 2014 for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
Videos and screens in the link.
I enjoyed the last PSX Strider game even if it was awfully short, so I'll be looking forward to this one, more so considering its also coming to PC.
I only played the Sega Mega Drive one and it was awesome!
Nice find! I remember Strider fondly on the old NES.
I didn't even realize there was a PSX version, but I had a lot of fun with the Genesis game.

More Strider sounds like a good idea to me.
If Capcom fucks this up I'm going to boycott Japan.
Huh. I played a lot of Strider 2 on Amiga, I think it was among the first games we got. I wasn't aware that it was some sort of port, especially not one related to Capcom. And if there's one game I wasn't expecting a sequel/remake/reboot of it's Strider. :P
I'm a bit skeptic of this since Double Helix is developing it but the trailer looks pretty good.
Dat Marvel vs Capcom 3 style...

...was not what I was looking for... so dark, Capcom, so dark.
Cool! I remember playing this on Sega Genesis.
Sweetness now lets just bring back Breath of Fire and Dino Crisis and we're golden.

For a second I was like "hey, what's wrong with Double Helix? it's basically Shiny Entertainment!". Then I remembered which games they've made since the merger with The Collective. Yeah, I'm not getting my hopes up for Strider. <.<

And now my hopes have been crushed Double Helix certainly doesn't have the best track record.

Yeah, I'm not sure if they're terrible though or if it's because they were rushed with licensed games(Battleship, GI Joe Green Lantern) and cash-in sequels(Front Mission Evolved, Silent Hill Homecoming).
I loved the Genesis version and the PSX Strider game that came out later.

I'm going to be cautiously optimistic with it being Double Helix making the game. I assume it will be a download game and not a full retail release. So I'll try the 360 demo portion before buying the full game.
