Today we’re releasing the last installment of the [url=http://www.gog.com/en/catalogue#all_genres/search/zork]Zork series. As they say, third time’s a charm, The Grand Inquisitor is the third part of the graphical Zork games and surely the best. By far the best one in terms of being accurate to the original Zork adventures with its surreal, silly humor and the pop culture references that leave you smiling when you encounter them ;)

Zork: Grand Inquisitor is set in the Great Underground Empire where an ex-student of the Magic University takes over the whole country and implements a totalitarian regime banning magic as a whole. The dictator is the titular Grand Inquisitor who seeks to shun magic, shun the appearance of magic, shun everything, and then shun shunning. The Grand Inquisitor takes a unique view of how to shun someone with the aid of “swift totemization” by courtesy of Frobozz Electric, a process that, trust us, you don't want to go through. The people of Quendor need a hero to relieve them from the dictatorial regime! You are AFGNCAAP. "Ageless, Faceless, Gender-Neutral, Culturally-Ambiguous Adventure Person" which happens to be the hero in most of adventure puzzle games, as well as in Infocoms original Zork games. You meet Dungeon Master Dalboz who gives you the quest to find the three legendary artifacts (one of the Cubes of Foundation, the Coconut of Quendor, and the Skull of Yoruk) required to bring back magic and put an end to the Grand Inquisitor's regime.

The graphic side of Zork aged very well and with the use of real actors for its cut-scenes, Z:GI has nothing to be ashamed of. Superb music and ambient sounds would be enough for many games, but Zork: Grand Inquisitor takes things a step further be being one of the first games to offer full closed captioning so the hearing impaired can enjoy the game to the fullest. Don’t wait and grab the last installment of the Zork series for $5.99 DRM-free only on GOG.com.
Do you know who the boss of you is? Zork is! Zork is the boss of you! Zork is boss!

Never played this or any other graphical Zork for that matter, but judging from screenshots alone it looks like a fun time (specifically the one that says "In case of adventure, break glass" - LOL:))

Now awaiting reviews from people who played it:)
