iuliand: Wait until you will have a party from which you choose what member to control. From there is not diablo anymore. And the story will evolve too.
Btw, there are multiple endings depending how you play your main character Christof. Choosing dialogues and who you kill will influence the ending.

xxxIndyxxx: Yeah the first section is a bit more like diablo but once you turn into a vampire (i think everyone knows this happens so it's not a spoiler) it turns more tactical and squadbased. Some parts are really hard. I started replaying it a month ago and I still love every bit of it. I even like the graphics. Only thing thats weird is that during dialogue sometime the camera is positioned awkwardly so it cuts of heads and stuff or is this fixed in the gog version??

That would be probably because of using a wide-screen resolution (the game is vert-). The camera is correct in 4:3 modes.

GoG only fixes compatibility issues, not gameplay issues/bugs. If it is not fixed in the latest official patch then it is not fixed in the GoG version either.

Well if its in the title of the game, I don't think anyone can realistically complain. Pretty sure it mentioned the transformation on the back of the box as well...

I think you are right, never thought about it, thanks
What a great new addition! Redemption is a great game, and I'm glad to see that people who missed out will finally get a chance to play this classic. Would love to see Bloodlines on here too. :)
Heh yeah its just such a shame that downloading the game is only half the job. I think the community patch is about the size of the game nowdays

You make it sound like the game is a total failure as it is. It is perfectly playable with no issues whatsoever. For me this is the first time to hear about this community patch. Never felt the need to use some other patch beside the official one. Anyway, I must admit that there are a few years since I've played the game last time.

The unofficial redemption patch (1.2) got to 145mb and the unofficial bloodlines patch is up to 174mb. What are you talking about 'half the job' ?

Far from it, I actually prefer the 1.2 version but most people seem to prefer the mod.
I thought the mod was somewhere around a gig for the full download nowdays, I must have been thinking of a different game then

bloodlines mod weight half a gig one time if i remember correctly. i was frigging surprised.
Ahh they discovered the wonders of compression it seems. I assumd the small size of the recent patches were an incremental thing rather than total size (say you need to have installed v5 to get v6)
Great release, really!
I can't wait for the upcoming Activision's games releases! :)
Ummm... Why is the main nemesis called werewolf in czech, pretty much?

Fenixp: Ummm... Why is the main nemesis called werewolf in czech, pretty much?

Guess it's the whole vampires vs werewolves myth; from what I know that started before the movie whose name I can't remember.
Yea I can deduce that much, but he IS a vampire. A vampire called werewolf. 'tis weird. I have just remembered it was actually bugging me the whole time I was playing Redemption ... previously
