We bet you didn't see that coming. Today we're releasing the "sequel" to the acclaimed RTS franchise Total Annihilation. For the price of only $5.99 that's a steal!

[url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/total_annihilation_kingdoms]Total Annihilation: Kingdoms is a real-time strategy that developed many features of its predecessor. The game is neither a sequel nor prequel to the original Total Annihilation, but a spin-off that took players from the futuristic setting from the first part into a world of fantasy. Aside from the different setting than in the original, other changes include a simpler resource management which allows you to focus more on the massive battles, and four different factions (instead of two) with distinct units' characteristics. Our version of the game also includes "The Iron Plague" expansion which adds one more kingdom and hundreds of new maps to play on. Forget about lunch today and spend this spare cash on this game and you won't regret it.

It is local for polish folks dude ;)

Anyone knows if this one is hard like the first one??
As I recall the main complaint about Kingdoms at the time was that it was released in quite a buggy state.

However as I recall the actual game wasn't too bad. A lot more variety in units than TA, and certainly the factions are easier to distinguish.
I'm sure its just a "Produce and throw units at enemy in lumps until victory" kind of game, but I still want it for some reason.

I'm too stupid to apply any strategy to games anyway, and usually just turtle and slowly take over parts of the map an inch at a time.
Nice! Worth getting for the soundtrack alone. Considering Warcraft 2 will never ever in a million years see the day of light on GOG, we might as well welcome the addition of TA Kingdoms. And here's hoping Dune 2 will be the next RTS game released on GOG ;)
YYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSS!!

I've got and had great fun with the original of this game, the campaign itself is almost totally unique in the RTS world in that its one linear story, but you play alternate races/sides through the game (say a handfull of one race then the story changes and you play a handful of another before switching again etc..). It gives a nice feel that all sides are active in the story rather than each side dominating affairs in an order (as is more typical with more RTS games)

However the best thing is the expansion which got very little commercial release (esp in the UK) so at last I can get my hands on the iron!!

Or 2000. But if we are talking Westwood, than we need Lands of Lore as well.

And Dune 2000 for sure! Lands of Lore truly fantastic and is an essential game on gog. LoL 2 and 3 should follow too even if they aren't up there with LoL 1.

OH FOR THE LOVE OF "!:@$"$%£$£!¬

I ALWAYS MISS THESE WISHING WELL CODES

EVEN WHEN I CAREFULLY MONITOR THE THREADS

:(
I saw it in the first minute, but had already bought the game myself :)

Next time, I will try my luck *gg*
Hmm now this is a surprising release. While it's sorta tempting, I also remember my own personal dissatisfaction with Kingdoms: the sort of same-y units, the way I couldn't quite distinguish them too easily, and the fact that while they put more story into the setting, it still seemed less interesting than the basically story-free original.
Yay thewishingwell is back!
Amazing that you found and fixed this one. Congratulations. I promise to buy it at some point in the future.

Now if only SupremeCommander:FA would run on Windows 7 :-P
Another one for the wishlist. Thanks GOG.
