Ooh, that's a classic. AFAIK, all 16-bit colour games has to do that for Windows Vista or 7 to fix the colours. (Certanly C&C1 and StarCraft 1 has this problem and fix)

So far not too happy about shelling out $5.99. Only thing that works is Melee matches against bots.
I really hope gog.com will fix these issues with Windows 7.

Im happy with the sucess of the games so far. I have plenty of original copies at myhouse, but i like the easy of Gog. I just finished Phantasmagoria and Im starting on I76. This with Mass effect 2, dragon age, Bioshock 2 and others stairing at me. Of course I remember a lot of these games back in the day. I know you cant go back, but i miss my 14 inch monitor, dos, and my speedy 486-66. with sites like this though, its all good. now how about the other 2 Gabriel knight games and some x-wing, tie fighter love. Good luck with Lucasarts, but I can dream.

Windows 7 isn't supported yet.
Well I did just get my learners driving licence, suppose I'd better get this and do some practice so I'm ready for the road test
Here's what worked for me and isn't at the extreme level of killing your desktop :)
Windows 7 64 bit:
set compatibilityon the shortcut to win 95 with all the compatibility tab options checked except "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings"
In game I had everything cranked in graphics settings except it was on 640x480
Hope this helps.
HampsterStyle, Massive thanks.
Worked a treat for me!

Teflon.Djinn: Is there any way to get this working on Win 7 x64 that doesn't involve murdering Explorer? D: That's a really extreme thing to do, and can cause instability or other problems.

Wolfox: Try this, maybe it will work: http://www.gog.com/en/forum/seven_kingdoms_series/problem_with_inverted_colors/perm=8/#p_b_8

Thank you, as wierd as this fix is, it worked perfectly for me under W7 64 and I76! Thanks again!
I tried this back when I was a GameTap subscriber. I couldn't figure out a single control, and never touched it again.
If there's one thing I HATE about some old games, it's the crazy keys you had to memorize.
The "keep the display properties open" trick worked for me too on WIn7 64-bit. Strange fix. I wonder why this works? What is the display properties doing?
To make this easier, you can make a batch file out of this so that the display properties window opens before launching the game, althoughI don't know how to have it automatically close when you're done.
DESK.CPL
START /W I76.EXE
The title of this game is offensive:
Insterstate '76 ARSEnal
Please fix it!

Move to VIC, the attitude of the drivers here is pretty much the same! :|
VIC drivers are the worse in Australia, just for moving here my Insurance went up by $20. Every single morning i almost get hit by idiots trying to cut across 6 lanes of traffic in a 80kph zone where everyone is doing 100kph +.
