It arrives!

Syndicate, the classic isometric game where you play to rule the world, lands on GOG.com today for just $5.99!

Played from a top-down isometric view, Syndicate presents the player with a simple goal: world domination. As a “Marketing Director”--or, more accurately, a hitman--for a new syndicate, the player will need to lead a squad of four operatives to infiltrate, capture, search, and destroy their way to the top of the corporate food chain. Critically acclaimed for its gameplay, splashy graphics, and deep customization options, Syndicate is one of those good old titles that every gamer should have on their shelf.

If you're a fan of games, fun, or taking over the world, this is definitely right up your alley, so pick it up now.
It starts with an S.

viiral: The expansion includes 3 new weapons, better AI, more missions (21) and some new music.. no reason to not include it..

Just sayin', these things are probably not in GOG's control. If it was, why wouldn't they release it? :P
I'm not annoyed at GOG. im annoyed at EA.

SimonG: No expansion is no reason not to buy it.

I've never liked the expansion disk (better AI is BS), the missions were medicore at best and I can't even remember the weapons. I've got the "complete" disk still lying around somewhere and I've never replayed it with the expansion.

This isn't Privateer or SMAX, where the exp is basically mandatory. If you don't get this game because of the disk, you are missing out a brilliant game!
I already have plus edition with expansion original. give me expansion and i will buy it digitaly to support gog.

I can understand it is a reason not to buy it when you have already played/owned it with expansion and want a digital version that provides at least the same experience. For those like me that have never played it, no, it isn't. Regardless of there being an expansion or not, this is a great chance to play a great classic (if I am to believe the reviews :) )

Still, of course, I think it's safe to say everyone (including GOG) would prefer for every game to come with all expansions and content.

According to this link there is something strange going on about EA expansions on GOG.

This EA's member was suprised, he "had no idea this was even a problem--he didn't know Righteous Fire wasn't available and expected the Wing Commander I and II addons would be included." It could also be true for other EA games here...
I can't remember if the version I used to own had the expansion. I didn't realise it was that old a game but a 17mb download it must have been older than I remember, was damn fun though.

I remember that I was quite taken by this game for a while... until I associated it with a very distressing event and now the mere remembrance of it, is close to revolting.
The trip down memory lane can sure go both ways.
loved this game on the atari jag. Wishlisted for now though as i am skint after xmas.
Confession:

I have never played this game

But judging by your reactions, it seems like an ok game, might get it at some point, though. Wishlisted for now then :)

If you like strategy - you should. For me it was kind of small scale RTS with X-COM elements ;)
Finally! Thank you GOG.
