The portals connecting the shattered islands of Eo start to collapse. The whole world is in panic and despair.

The GOG.com version of Dragon Storm is a stand-alone expansion to the second part of the game.

Chaos reigns over the mythical land of Eo and the Shaikans investigate the problem. Upon closer inspection they reveal ancient ruins of the long forgotten first race to walk the plains of Eo: the Shapers. Once the rulers of the world, the Shapers discovered the Essence of Magic, and the struggle to control the essence led to a civil war and the apparent extinction of their race. Shaikans awaken one of these ancients, the Creator, and now chaos spreads. The only ally the Shaikans can muster is the race that once saved Eo from the Shapers threat the Dragons, exiled long ago. This add-on expands the universe by adding the Sheikan faction, and also adds a new campaign, more loot, spells, and a complex crafting system. Revisit familiar grounds, meet friends from your past adventures in Eo (incl. The Soulbearer or Flink McWinter), and (of course) save the entire world from doom.

Huh, I didn't know Dragon Storm was an expandalone. I got Spellforce 2 gold on another site and it was included with the original game. Both are awesome though, and highly recommended.

I'm going to buy it. I just don't see how anyone can justify 2007 as old.

Go look at Steam. You're $19.99 for both of them in the Gold Edition. GOG.com are giving you the option to buy them separately for $9.99 each which comes to the same amount. This is good for people just wanting to try the base game and don't care for the expansion.

Stop being ungrateful and stupid, people. You aren't entitled to get this added to Shadow Wars for free no matter how much you cry. Stop trying to rip a good site off and help them out a bit.

Don't get me wrong, I am pleased that the game is available here. I'm just not going to buy it for a bit. Others can do as they wish :)

Sorry, GOG, we've got no deal about Spellforce 2.

EDIT: GamersGate's Universe package is the best Spellforce package so far.

Too expensive.

I can get Spellforce 2 gold from steam for the same price (I know some people don't like steam, I do) or I can get it for $10 off ebay.

I can also get 'spellforce universe' which is spellforce platinum and spellforce 2 gold off steam for $25 which is cheaper then your price for all 3 games.

From Wikipedia:

"Shadow Magic was probably planned as an expansion pack for Age of Wonders 2: The Wizard's Throne, but was published as a stand-alone game instead."

Shadow Magic is a standalone game and thus NOT a prior example of GOG releasing an expansion separately. Stop grasping at straws to defend GOG/JoWood. I love GOG, too, but a desperate fanboy defense isn't going to fool anyone with a bit of sense.

Don't act as if GOG is doing us a favor by offering separate packages. I accepted the lack of the expansion with the release of Shadow Wars because the issue seemed likely to be price point. I like that the expansion has been released on GOG, but I'd rather see the Gold Edition containing both released for a new price tier of $19.99 if GOG can't offer them together for $9.99.

I don't know what agreements EA has forced GOG into, but this sets a precedent, a dangerous one too .. who knows what 'conditions' other publishers will force on us.

I don't like this one bit, and as protest will NOT be buying this game.

Oh you people always find something to complain about, don't you? GoG is not obligated to bundle games with their expansions, especially when those are standalone. They have never promised to do so, ever, and it's only their good will that they have been doing it up until now - and I am sure they would gladly do so in this case as well if EA didn't say otherwise.
