I dont get it ... Why are there scenes with the Title "Space Quest XII: ...." / "Space Quest X: ..LATEX...." in the part of the trailer of SpaceQuest 4?

JudasIscariot: Bring on Leisure Suit Larry, I say!

I'd love to see the Leisure Suit Larry series on here because Vivendi really butchered that collection from a couple of years ago. It's missing LSL 7, it only has the remake of the first game and not the original, and there were some other things wrong with it that I can't remember right now. So if they can release a complete collection of the series for $20, that would be great. All of these collections are probably why GOG.com wanted to do different price points instead of just $6 and $10.

Read the thread will ya? It was already answered. It's a part of the plot concerning the Sequel Police. You think too much, play the game, it's great!:D
This is what I am talking about!! First Gabriel Knight then Space Quest....and PHANTASMA-FREAKING-GORIA!!!??? Who saw that one coming? This is too good to be true! I own the retail Space Quest Collection but I will be buying these again on GOG to show my support for the adventure genre and my appreciation to GOG for showing us some Sierra love.
$10 is nothing. That means you are paying $3.33 a piece for some of the finest examples of adventure gaming ever created. It seems the industry has pretty much settled on an MSRP of $20 for this series as a whole but I would have paid $20 for each installment if that was the only way to get them again.
Sierra Rules!
Thank you GOG.com!!
P.S. Quest for Glory 1-5 please.... and Gabriel Knight 2 +3......
Leisure Suit Larry would be a great buy as well but I'd prefer it if they wouldn't split up the archive.
Only the King's Quest series is not my thing. I've never been a Roberta Williams fan - she's a crap game designer who seems to be a closet dominatrix because she's so cruel in the way she designs her games. Only KQ6 is any good.
For what it's worth, I'll throw my hat into the "I'm wish-listing this until further details" ring. But Phantasmagoria? Instant purchase.
finally! no good old games list can be complete without Space Quest. No what about the other Quest series?

Collie: The 'humour' probably translates better in the US where people seem to laugh at anything if the US sitcoms are anything to go by.

I know this is OT but... seriously? I watched a lot of American and British comedies and British ones have lowbrow vulgar humor way more often than American ones.
So are these improved at all over the box collection from a few years ago? I have that and they all run, though it is certainly a cheap DosBox hack-job, but GOG does cheap DosBox hack-jobs as well sometimes and I don't want to buy this and get the exact same thing I already have. If these work better than that release then I will go for it.
Also, 3 of the best adventure games ever for $10 and people are complaining? Give me a break.
I have to say I'm surprised that 4 is the first one available via GOG - while it's my favourite of the series, I remember it as fairly unforgiving.
It also pokes a lot of fun at itself and its genre, and playing 4 first might scare away potential fans of earlier games in the series.
Once I get through some of my GOG backlog, this will probably be next on my shelf.
i have never played any of Space Quests
finally i'll get some Roger Wilco ;)
i wonder if we'll get Police Quest 1-4 package :] for 9$? it would be soooooooo great!
SQIV is definately my favourite, although I've played them all so many times.
"Casually glancing at the status line, you happen to notice that you're in Space Quest XII."
Nice, I hope this means King's Quest 6 and 7.

there is KQ 1-7 pack on Steam - so why not KQ megapack on GOG ;)
anyone ever played KQ8? as far as i remember from press reviews it was not_so_successfull 3d action-adventure and worst part in the serie.
and some though - maybe they split KQ for 1-4 and 5-7 both for 5% or first pack for 5% and the second (with speech and more animations) for 9.99$
and i have a question about remakes - are they legal/official? couse it's looks like they're for free

The AGD remakes were considered legal since at one point they did get approval from Vivendi International (Activision's parent company). Not sure how that all works now that Sierra have been assimilated into ActivisionBlizzard...
A similar situation occurred with the creators of Quest Studios (free digital downloads of Sierra game music).

I played it a long time back. It wasn't entirely awful but it was far more action than adventure game. I enjoyed Simon The Sorcerer 3D a lot more which probably tells you all you need to know.....
