DrIstvaan: Yesterday, my brother told me how cool it would be if GOG released Total Annihilation, as to give an alternative to strategy players who don't plan to grab SC2 right now... Indeed, that would have been extra-cool.
Adventure lovers will certainly appreciate this, though.

Unfortunately that's not going to happen for a long time because it's exclusively on Impulse, which isn't a bad service, but it means that it's not coming here :(
I'll buy this eventually because I don't the original version of Space Quest, just the remake, but man, $10 is a lot to spend just so I can get one game (and non-DRM versions of the other two). I really hope they can add the remake to the pack eventually so it's truly complete, but at least they have a version of Space Quest that the Steam compilations don't have, which have the remake but not the original.
Great games, bad price. :(
I'll wait for a discount weekend. Hopefully, 50% off of all Sierra compilations. Though I already have the original Space Quest Collection from a long time ago.

Is there a reason (beyond posterity) why one might want the original rather than (or in addition to) the remake?

TA is on Gamersgate too.
Anyhow, I got the whole series for much less in the last Steam sale. No buy.
First off, excellent work releasing some truly good old games, especially the Space Quest series.
I really want to buy this, but it doesn't seem to include the VGA remake, and so it costs more than it should, especially since I already own all the SQ games.

The remake is the exact same game but with improved visuals and sound.
The only reason one might prefer the original is nostalgia

Yeah, but why not acting like Telltale and offer both nostalgia and remake version in one?
What's with the price complaints? $10 for three games is good... $10 for half the $20 retail collection is normal.
I paid $20 for the collection on disc and it was well worth it to have these.
So, the Steam release has the remake of the first game but not the AGI version. GOG release has the original but not the remake. Fuck this.

Petrell: Aww, more adventure games :-p. GOG needs more Turn Based Strategy and tactics games as well as computer Role Playing Games! *hint* *hint* ;-) Also hopefully GOG can get releases to full speed again soon. There has been only one release per week for quite while now. Contest and all that are nice and all but the game catalog is what brings most people here. :-)

I second that, adventure games aren't exactly my cup of tea, but i love to see more RPG, RTS and FPS games in GOG

WBGhiro: 9.99? meh i'd liketo get it but that is a little bit too much.

An obsessive compulsive need for completion but like I said, at least these versions of the game would run better than the ones in the compilation, so it's because of that too.

It doesn't use text parser as well, which is why it is much better than the original.
$10 is a lot, considering I got all 6 for that much boxed (including the VGA remake).
