The classic Simon collection by Adventure Soft is hereby complete, with the release of Simon the Sorcerer 3D.
Our favorite teenage wizard is back and brings with himself a bit more depth - one dimension of it to be exact. [url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/simon_the_sorcerer_3d]Simon the Sorcerer 3D originally hit the shelves seven years after the previous part, after many pleas from the series' fans. The game parted with the classic 2D point-and-click scheme and put a 3D TPP control style in its stead. What hasn't changed is the witty and sarcastic humor we know and love about Simon. A definite must-have for anyone who likes a good laugh. The price tag is only $5.99, so don't hesitate to complete your collection of Simon the Sorcerer games.
Hm, I thought this site was for GOOD old games. This is pretty dreadful, isn't it?

Does it include the latest patch - 2.0?

wut abut waxwerks?!?!?

Well, it's good to have the whole series. Quite good..
Could we now have some of the Dizzy games from Codemasters, please? :-)
There's a duplicate word (this) in the first sentence of the game's description:
"Simon is back and this this time in 3 dimensions!"

Yep, the game is patched with the latest official patch and that's the 2.0 one you've mentioned.

Small spelling error in the description :
"Slightly confused and disoreintated....." should read "Slightly confused and disoriented.."
Yeah I know it's nitpicky but I thought I should point it out.
Having already bought and finished Simon 3D ages ago, I have to say it is not a bad game. It may look fugly, lack a decent interface or not be an AAA production, but truth is some of the puzzles are brilliant, some jokes actually funny and the plot way above average. Surely the vast majority of adventure lovers will enjoy it.

I must admit, I'm amazed at how long it is taking to get this 12MB game out. I can only assume they've hit massive compatibility issues.
[EDIT] Hmm, now it says 13MB. I could have sworn it said 12 before.

Already own it. As you could read in "New year's resolution", finishing this game is my 2008' resoultion. :D
Worth buying.
awful game and nowhere near as fun as the first two.
jumping on the bandwagon to go 3D ,when so many others were at the time, did this franchise no favours at all. it controls 'clunkily', looks awful and has a weak plot and characters.
i agree with the other user. this place was/is called GOOD Old Games
at the moment its starting to become..
'GOOD' - well maybe not all that good actually, but its part of a set and we are commited to the developer so we gotta take it and put i on here. we define good, and are definition of good doesnt include only games that reached good critical acclaim.
'OLD' - well it aint always old either. We define what is old and 2005 is old enough for us at gog.
'Games' - ermmm.. yup.

ScummVM isn't compatible with this game:
http://scummvm.org/compatibility.php
So either they're waiting on the ScummVM people to make some strides, or else they must be working on their own virtual machine. Either way, I wouldn't expect this one too soon.

No, I would expect them to use DOSBox for this one. Why on earth would they sit around hoping that ScummVM would some day support this?
