EndlessKnight: It's good to see more publishers and Sherlock Holmes, but I think I'll wait until the "Lost Files of Sherlock Holmes" titles make their way here. (Which could be some time, given the EA connection.)
The Case of the Serrated Scalpel
The Case of the Rose Tattoo

The Lost Files of Sherlock Holmes! I played the first one never played the second by that time my computer was surprisingly to old. I've had these two on my wishlist from GOG.

THE BEST SHERLOCK GAMES EVER - rose tatto i have on original cd - would like more of these "lost files" to have been found but - hifgly anticipated here on GOG
Sherlock Holmes never had the best of subtitles, but beyond that the game itself seems interesting.
already own this game, i like it a lot but i don't think 9.99 is a good price :|
I quite like thes Frogware Holmes games minus Msytery of The Mymmy and Nemesis. The voice acting is okay and the stories work reasonably well. The biggest annoyance I have with the Silver Earring is that the deduction part at the end of each chapter is quite strict and requires just the correct pieces of dialog, even if the same thing has been said somewhere or someone elese.

What's going on?
GOG just got Atari, and yet the past 3 weeks have been almost nothing but the worst releases in GOG's history, all of which really don't qualify as good or very old.

I wouldn't say Silver Earring is one of the worst games here, its decent, though Two Worlds isn't anything great.
Silver Earring is solid if a bit uninspired in places. As has been mentioned the voice acting is mixed. Holmes and Watson are decent while some of the other characters range from good to utter stereotypes. The end of chapter thing I've mentioned in my review (if its up)

Jadefalcon: Now that I heartily agree with, I'vegot Rose Tattoo boxed but getting it to work on a current system is near impossible, for me anyway.

Why so? It's dead easy to run in DOSBox if you know how to add a CD drive.

I got these mixed up with that Sherlock Holmes hidden object game, but that's The Lost Cases, not the Lost Files!
I have never played these two games, and I agree that they would be a great addition to the GOG catalogue. :)
(edit: still got them mixed up!)

Wishbone: Uhm, weird. The post you quoted appears to have been deleted. There is no post 15 in this thread anymore :-O

Catshade: That's...mysterious, indeed. This guy did a similar thing in the Enclave release thread...but normal forum members don't have the ability to delete their own posts, do they?

what was that? a promo code?

Eclipse: what was that? a promo code?

A gift code.
Added this one to my wishlist, and I'll get it soon.
I hope Sherlock Holmes: The Awakening finds its way onto GOG though, because I avoided getting that game due to SecuROM 7.xx.

Oh so this guy gives gift to the ones reading the forum.. uhm... kinda weird but generous
I really wish that Jeremy Brett was still alive. Would have loved to hear him voice acting in Holmes video games.

I agree. He was Sherlock Holmes to me.
