great! I played the demo and really liked the cyberpunk-ish feel it had.

lowyhong: But wait before I buy it, I'd just like to find out how repetitive combat is. Do you keep fighting random encounter low level creatures all the time? Are the tactics more or less the same? So the combat's somewhat like FF eh?

no random encounters- you can see the monsters roaming around on the field and you can avoid some of them if you want. They will only regenerate after you leave the dungeon. I only played the demo so I don't know if the combat becomes repetitive.

A-Pock: 100th game has to be system shock 2 :).

lowyhong: I'll buy 100 copies of that
Can I have one of them. ;)
Might wanna call up your bank and tell them to up the limit...
No need to do that =) Actually the CC isn't even issued by a bank, but by an electrical store. And I have never hit the limit because it's insanely high and I have better control than that. Thankfully.

Miaghstir: I'd go to Vietnam and do my purchases in dong (roughly 18 000 Vietnamese Dong to 1 US Dollar).

I wouldn't want make purchases with dongs...
Sorry for my feeble attempt at a joke.

Cool. I don't like random encounters like the ones you often find in jRPGs. They sometimes get so frequent it's head-bangingly frustrating. I didn't even know there's a demo for Septerra. Thanks, I think I will get it during the next pay day. Been waiting for this for some time already

No, but I'll gift you 100 copies of that!!!!!!
If and when SS2 gets released here, I will scream like a little boy, and launch a nuke into outer space
nott a terribly big fan of the JRPG style but the story sounds cool. If I am averse to boring combat and horribly linear storylines am i gonna hate this too? because it *sounds* cool to me.
Oh just saw the obove post which answers some of my questions... But still, just *how* japanese is it?

Hey that works for me, 5.99 CZ Koruny is a bit less than 50c Australian. I'd own the whole gog cataogue next pay!
Was hoping for this to be released this week. :)
Cant wait for it..unfortunately Im a little short on my Paypal balance, but I dont want to wait..I'll probably get my friend to buy it for me hehe.

Wishbone: The story of this game sounds intriguing, but unfortunately, the whole JRPG thing is a major turn-off for me.

The problem isn't really that it tries to be a JRPG, but that it kind of fails in the process. The awful combat system alone managed to put me off from ever finishing the game. The setting is interesting, though, but I could just go replay Planescape: Torment, then.

I kinda remember subtle things like using bread on zombies to kill them and having to backtrack the whole huge dungeon to the exit after the boss had been defeated. Could be my memory is playing tricks and it was a great game, but I doubt it.
SepterraCore is my favorite Japanese style RPG. All JRPG's have repetitive combat. I though that SepterraCore's combat was much less repetitive than most. I'll take its combat system over any Final Fantasy combat system, any day.
I'm no longer a fan of JRPGs at all, but I've always, always, always wanted to play this. It's appearance at the discount area in Targets across the US had taunted me for years. HOORAY!
Well, looks like the ever-growing list of GOG games I've bought but still haven't had time to play is about to be incremented by 1.
I caved and bought this yesterday. Had a few problems getting it to run at first, but I've finally solved them so I'll be playing this tonight now >_>.
Anyone knows how much playtime we're talking about ? I really want to get it but i hate short rpgs-s.
