wow, Now i only need grim fandango and my adventure library is complete and i can die in peace ;)
I didn't buy it yet do, bought a lot of games recently and I have way too many games I haven't even installed yet. Will buy it definitly in a month or two.
I quickly became addicted to the game. Plays best at night: turn off the lights in your room, set up details to max, crank up the volume... :) It rocks!
Only played parts of this game before, but I really liked it. Can't wait to get a proper working version going :D
This game is ace!
I remember playing demo 10 years ago, it made huge impression on me...really atmopsheric. And I know people for whom this game is better than Longest Journey, it made a greater impact on them.
MUST BUY
Since this sounds promising, I'll expand my Burnout Paradise offer in exchange for someone gifting me this.

That'd be VERY kind! On the game screen there's the "buy" option and then below there's "gift it". You'd need my email address to do that (lucibel underscore mel at hotmail dot com)
If you wanted Burnout Paradise in exchange, you can legitimately download the trial from Nvidia's website here. When installing, it gives you the option to install the game as trial or the full game. You'd just need to choose the full game option and then use my spare serial. Playing the game, you would need to create a login but that takes a few seconds.

I recently bought the XS CD version and got really frustrated because of so many random crashes and graphics problems (artifacts, pixelation etc.)
The only solution for me was to run it inside Virtual PC with WIndows 98 installed. It crashes there too but not so often to completely ruin the experience. Boy, I've never encountered an old game that so persistently refused to run on new Windows 7 system. To make things worse, it is not DOS game so DosBox can't help. Also, compatibility modes are of no help either.
For Windows 7 and ATI card owners - how is this GOG version performing? Is it any better? Crashes, graphics?
Other than that, it is awesome game with great atmosphere.

Lucibel: Check your email... Should be there shortly, and no worries. Is that game online only? Or can it be played offline as well? If it could be done offline I might be interested, last couple days been getting 3 kb/s download speeds :p hence why Offline is pretty much all id be into.
edit to add, Sanitarium is an awesome game used to play it was back in the day, either you love it or hate it kind of thing, hope you enjoy. Right now, I still have 1 gig to download /sigh lol

Is this game as scary as I've heard it is?
I tried the demo of this game but it crashed on me. I sure hope that the GOG version fix these things (which I believe they do, cause GOG is awesome).
Can anyone tell me if this game is scary? I mean, Silent Hill kinda scary? (I'm a Silent Hill fanatic)
Always been kind of curious about this game. I'll probably buy it, though with the amount of games I've got to play right now, it seems it'll have to stay for a while in the wishlist first.
Very glad GOG got hold of it, though. Doesn't seem like XS Games has anything else of interest, but who knows (I see their website mentions Syberia 2, but the rights for that are with Microids).
I never finished it, but I wouldn't call it scary. It can be disturbing, however.
