A new one on me.
But worth the risk I reckon :)
I never played it, but I remember a preview back in 2000.
I remember they said that they tested the engine with 2000 soldiers in action on screen and that it barely slowed down. Back then, I really was impressed.
Well, I've been looking for a different kind of RTS game, I'm interested in the low resourse management it uses, and reviews and opinions around the web appear favourable.
So it's added to my wishlist. I might buy it thusday payday. Either that or the other titles I've been wanting to get.
A demo for anyone who's interested in trying it.
I remember this one, I really enjoyed it (the demo that is) when it was first released.
This one goes on my "To Buy"-list
Is it like the Total War games?

Put that here please.
Is the game already patched to the semi-official patch 1.05?
I actually have the retail copy of this somewhere but the game never grew on me so I will pass.

Nope, it's all in real-time. Also, your people are your primary resource.
I'm tempted to buy it even though I really don't need anohter game. I have a backlog of games that will last a few hundred hours.

Impressions?
haha sorry I dl'd the demo but when it came right down to it, I realized I didn't want to spend time trying to figure out how to play another game so I only played it for 2 minutes then quit. I've been busy learning to play some older games I've recently purchased, having a hard enough time keeping all that other stuff straight

So there's no diplomacy? Am I right to say it's something like Bungie's Myth?

I've not played Myth, so I don't know.
There is no diplomacy; it's more like a "generic" RTS where you have to beat your enemy to death (surrender).
However, you don't do this by building a large amount of buildings and producing many units there. You have but a few types of units, but they have numerous tactical advantages to use and disadvantages to keep in mind, which means the game has a good bit of variety, despite the relatively low number of units.
