taczillabr: This is already being discussed here:
http://www.gog.com/en/forum/one_unit_whole_blood/wrong_name_for_the_forum

Actually, no. I never cared about the name of the forum. Whatever title GOG chooses for the game-specific discussion board isn't relevant to the concerns I raised, as the forum typically only gets visited by people who already know what "Blood" is.
Such distinctions aside, I do agree with the thread creator's general argument. But changing the forum name, as GOG indeed has, strikes me as the least helpful way of addressing this "issue"...
Just did some multiplayer deathmatch with a friend. It was SO MUCH fun. :-)

And yes, these are 2 issues. Forum, and gamecard-catalogue.
Some people really don't know that the game is called Blood, simple as that.

KEgstedt: People vaguely familiar with a game called "Blood" can't reasonably be expected to know that "One Unit Whole Blood" is the name of some obscure bundle which (judging by GOG's own presentation) isn''t something you're particularly likely to have seen on a shop shelf somewhere for a very long time. And as far as I can see, the game is in fact not listed as simply "Blood" anywhere on the site, including the games catalogue.

Fair point. I called my brother because we used to play Blood when we were younger, and told him to look at the GOG front page. He was like "yes, what about it?", and I had to specifically tell him to disregard part of the name before he realized the game I wanted to show him was Blood.
This game is even better than Duke 3D. At least I have never persuaded my wife to play a cooperative game of Duke with me. But I have more than one time with Blood and Doom 2.
Have anybody tried to play a network game with GOG version?

GOG.com: Now you don't have to pay for ridiculously expensive Blood collection on on-line auctions. The bloodiest shooter ever is now on GOG.com for only $5.99!
[url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/one_unit_whole_blood]One Unit Whole Blood is a compilation of the original first-person shooter Blood and it's expansions: Plasma Pack and Cryptic Passage. You are Caleb and years ago you have devoted yourself to serve an evil god - Tchernobog. But your lord has betrayed you. Recently resurrected, you have a score to settle and here's where the gore fest begins! Huge arsenal of weapons and artifacts, partly destructible environment, kicking zombie heads like footballs and gallons of BLOOD - that's what you can expect from this release!

Thank you so much!
You have no idea how many happy tears you've brought me!
Hi,
I bought the game but I can't play it cause music volume is too high and it somehow suppresses the sound effects. It mostly depend on the intrinsic music loudness, if it is very loud sound effects will be utterly muted, if it's medium the their volume will be very lowered (almost inaudible), and finally, if it's low then they'll be normally audible.
Music volume control is turned all down, and so CD volume control (in the options screen), though, every time I launch the game CD volume is all back up (turning down doesn't sort any effect at all). I checked BLOD.CFG and both Music volume and CD volume are set to 0.
I also reinstalled the game but the problem persisted.
Does someone know how to solve this? I'm in a map currently with a very loud music and so the sound effects are totally suppressed and inaudible.
This week keeps getting better and better. Thank you for an awesome release.
the "new in-game music x old in-game music" problem solved:
all you need to do is to delete (or back-up somewhere, whatever) the .ogg files - Blood02.ogg-Blood09.ogg, once they're not in the main folder, the game plays the original score...

I'm experiencing this as well. For me, the music and CD volume controls don't seem to do anything, but the sound control works. I just turned the sound effects all the way up and turned my speakers down.
I do agree with the people confused by the name change to some obscure pack. I realise its the official name of the collection, but if I hadn't been told that Blood was coming to GOG and then rushing over here to find it, I might not have.
oh, hell, and im broke ;/

not sure if this could help but it's worth a try:
when I first installed the game, I didn't click the button "Launch now" right after the installation was complete, instead I exited and started to play with setups and graphic modes, and when I ran the game with the "OUWB" icon on the desktop, the game started in some strange mode - there has been only four episodes (the fifth was not there), the sliders in options were grey sliders, not drops of blood as they should be, the game crushed a couple of times...
So I've re-installed it, this time I've clicked the "Launch now" button immediately and this time everything was right - all five episodes, no crushing, I even saw the intro which wasn't played the first time! And I was able to setup the graphics and sound and controller options afterwards, the game was still ok.
