Aside from Duke Nukem 3D and possibly Far Cry, Blood is the one true must-have shooter on GOG. I wish they hadn't called it "One Unit Whole Blood", though, as that fairly obscure bundle name might be needlessly confusing to customers not yet familiar with the series...
Awesome game. Thanks GOG. :)

I think this is actually the official name of the "platinum edition" (basic game + both datadiscs) so it's alright. also it's under the short name "Blood" in the games catalogue, so no confusion necessary :)
I hate mimes! :D

Yep, GOG is just using the name that was already given to it. Looky:

Blood is a great game, but to be honest, the shareware chapter was the best and most fun, and by the time you've completed the main game and are attempting the add-on levels, you've seen it all before a hundred times and it gets pretty boring. If I recall, just about every level late on features one or more bosses which previously were an interesting challenge to take on, but by the 5th time you've faced the same one, you really don't care and wish for some more inspiring level design instead.
Opening chapter 10/10, and you can take off another 1/10 for each additional chapter, if not more.
Now when are we going to have a working version of Shadow Warrior? That was a fun build engine game.
Nabbed. Now I can finally have legal copies of Cryptic Passage and Plasma Pak!
guys, what's with the in-game music? both first and second episode sounds very different from the original Blood (and the included soundtrack)... am I doing something wrong? I kind of want the original music in there...
I see now... this version has the in-game soundtrack right in the main directory of the game in the .ogg format, but those songs are totally different to those in the original game. is there any chance we could get those original midi music files as well? (reminds me of the Goblins floppy version situation, luckily we'll get both versions here too! :) pretty please?

I understand where the name is coming from, but that's unrelated to the point I was making. People vaguely familiar with a game called "Blood" can't reasonably be expected to know that "One Unit Whole Blood" is the name of some obscure bundle which (judging by GOG's own presentation) isn''t something you're particularly likely to have seen on a shop shelf somewhere for a very long time. And as far as I can see, the game is in fact not listed as simply "Blood" anywhere on the site, including the games catalogue.
Still, this is not a huge deal or anything, and I can imagine that there are common sensical legal reasons for GOG to choose the bundle name when it is the bundle they're selling (just as they sell the Might and Magic "Limited" Edition and Commandos "Ammo Pack").

Roufuss: Now we just need Shadow Warrior and we are all set on almost all of the best old school FPS.
And I think it's possible, seeing as it was published by GT Interactive, who was bought by Atari.

3D Realms owns the rights to Shadow Warrior and it's on their online store. Too bad their online store is no where near as good and only lets you download things once. Plus they use the exact pricing scheme as gog.com. They probably just think that they can make more money from selling it themselves though.

GOG.com has been on a roll this week

Oh. My. God. Blood. This was one of the scariest and best game when I was a little kid. My brother always played this, maybe I'll buy it for him. Thanks GOG!
I remember those 1on1 or 2on2 football matches with ripped heads in first level. When we were out of heads, deadmatch started.
Great game, GOG! Blood, one of the best old-school shooters.
I said this before and I'll say it again, I want ALL of the build games here! Shadow Warrior, NAM, Witchaven, TekWar, and etc... Classic, obscure FPSes. :)
