You asked for it and now it's here! Lords of the Realm, plus the sequel and its expansion, all packed into the Royal Edition bundle. Rouse your warriors, exploit your thralls and conquer the world, and all this for $5.99.
Lords of the Realm is a series of turn-based strategy games with RTS elements. Both games are based on actual history, so there's no magic or insta-progress technology trees to be found here. The main focus of the games is to carefully manage, expand and fortify your realm in order to achieve relative stability and gain more power. From time to time random events, like drought or flooding, will emerge to keep you on your toes. Battles are waged in real-time and require quite a bit of tactical acumen to achieve victory. All this complexity is what made this game a classic and, according to many, the inspiration for the acclaimed Total War series.
Cool pack, thanks so much for bringing this to us, GOG (and Rebellion, for giving it to GOG)!
I've been secretly hoping for this since I've seen the Rebellion selection.
Great! Can't wait to plunge into this one!
still wondering: does this game support lan play? :)

Well, there IS multiplayer in both games, but I think it's serial connection at most.
TCP/IP is for Internet play, IIRC.

They are, at least there is a promo video for LoM in LotR2's main menu ;-).
They'll probably change the forum name to "Lords series".
I've always wanted to re-live my LOTR2 days. Unfortunately, school's starting. Crap :(. What a time to release one of my most anticipated games :((((((((((((
Great addition to the catalogue. Thnx GOG.
I have purchased it a few moments ago and now I have to go to work.

Fortunately, it isn't published by Ubi, else it wouldn't have been possible ;-).
