Split screen? Is that on the PC version as well? Can two players play on the same PC at the same time? I got one of those PC gamepad controllers and this would really be a great selling point for me if it did have it.
I remember Incoming being pretty stunning in terms of graphics when it launched... and a real blast to play. Poster child for 3d accelerators.
I wonder how well it holds up without the breathtaking graphics though...

Delixe: A little. You get turrets, aircraft and tanks and basically blow seven shades of shit out of anything that moves.

Whoa...whoa...ok that's a little too mindless for me to handle ;). Thanks for everything though!
Ah, Incoming. Classic arcade destroctoporn, at its finest! Incoming was pretty much a dressing-rehearsal and tech-demo for Hostile Waters, but still a pretty good game at its own as well.
The game manages to keep itself reasonably fresh for the most part with the wide variety of things to do, coupled with a relentless pacing: you get to pilot several vehicles in many different locations; from the steps of mount Mount Kilimanjaro in Kenya, to the frigid wastes of the Arctic, to the waters of the North Atlantic, and on to the eastern US and eventually even the moon and the alien homeworld. There is even a very light RTS mode in here, which again helps keep things interesting. Sure, everything is rather basic here, and it does eventually grow a bit monotonous, but it is a title that is always fun to come back to every now and again.
As for the graphics: yes, the title was one of the most popular poster-boys for the 3D-accelerator back in its day, and it has actually aged rather well, at least, I wouldn't call it ugly. And besides, at the end of the day, graphics doesn't really matter a lot; Incoming was just as successful with its graphics as it was with its simple and fun gameplay, which never gets old. ;)
Another definite instabuy from me, and one I would highly recommend to anyone who likes mindless arcade shooters; there is no better way to wind off a stressing, long and boring day than blowing alien evil-doers out of the sky. Just leave your brain at the door and enjoy!

Zeewolf: I played Incoming back in the Voodoo 2 days... good times. But how does it work on today's cards? Are we limited to software rendering do we get the full package?

Incoming required a 3D accelerator back in the day, it has always been a Direct 3D title, so it works fine on modern cards as well..

Yes, it is there and working just fine on any reasonably modern PC. It didn't go so well on my old 120 MHz computer I had back in '98 though, but that was then. ;)
