Incoming and Incoming Forces are THE games when it comes to fast-paced action. And now you can have them both for the impossibly low price of $5.99.
Incoming and Incoming Forces are arcade 3D shooters, with a strong emphasis on the "arcade" part. It's like taking Descent 3, adding more vehicles and bolting in the sheer amount of action of side-scrolling and top-down shooters. In the first game, you must defend Earth against an Incoming alien invasion. In the sequel, Mankind is sick and tired of alien scum attacking their planet, and set off on a crusade to cleanse the galaxy of alien taint. This time you're one of the aliens, trying to defend your world against human Forces. Basically, in both games this means blowing up all alien scum in the general area.
Puuuuuuuuuuurchased!
I have to wait till payday tomorrow but this is going straight on my shelf.

Am I the only one who hasn't heard of these games? They look solid fun though.

If you like shooters you really cant go wrong with Incoming. It has the depth of a puddle but then it doesn't aspire to be anything other than a relentless blast fest.
Watching the screens and rummaging about a little in the recesses of my memory I suddenly realized I have fond memories of playing this game. Will definitely pick it up.
Hell yes!! Got the boxed version at home, but stil a definate purchase for me!

Ooooo mindless shooter? Is it anything like Hostile Waters or Battlezone?

A little. You get turrets, aircraft and tanks and basically blow seven shades of shit out of anything that moves.

The first one was a pretty solid arcade shooter. One of the best early 3D-card-only titles. Definitely not lacking in entertainment value even if it is completely lacking in depth. I don't know about the sequel.
I played Incoming back in the Voodoo 2 days... good times. But how does it work on today's cards? Are we limited to software rendering do we get the full package?
Well you see what happens to games which primary overwhelmed you by their graphics.
Give them some years and you'll recognize that they are ugly - in gameplay as ever and in graphics too meanwhile. ;)
It's surely a fair price, but they are no must have titles for me.

I remember getting this game bundled with an Intel i740(?) graphic card and could be played on that just fine. So I think is working on any d3d card.
