Silent. Emotionless. Undetected. Lethal. Effective. Hitman: Codename 47.

Hitman: Codename 47, a game that crafted a standard for in-game contract killers, can finally stealthily approach you with a garrote wire on GOG.com for $5.99.

The ultimate gaming assassin is silent, emotionless, infallibly lethal, well-dressed (suit up!), and he can only be distinguished by the barcode tattooed on his bald skull. His name is 47 and he has created a lot of bad publicity for bald men wearing red ties since his first appearance in 2000.

Hitman: Codename 47, the first game in the franchise that has spanned 4 titles and a movie to date, developed a completely new approach towards third-person shooters and stealth games. You need planning, elaborate schemes, deceit and sometimes a garrote wire to perform your assignments in the most “silent” manner. Or you can just kill everyone, one by one. Find the target and eliminate it, by any means possible. That's all that really matters.

You can become a cold-blooded contract killer in Hitman: Codename 47 for only $5.99.
This is one of my favorit series ever. If you havent played any I really recommend them, although the 2nd is much better.
Never played it, but damn it looks good!
Cool - been wanting to play this for quite some time!
do note that the first game has its share of bugs and bad dialoge.
Compared to the rest of the series this ones quite bareboned and I find it to mostly be for the series fans (in fact many of the levels return in better version in 3rd game Hitman : Contracts).
It looks good and it plays good except that the game is INCREDIBLE and UNFAIRLY tough. Seriously, the first few missions are piss easy compared to the jungle missions and later missions which are so painfully hard it's just not fun any more. The game has a lot of trial & error areas where you're forced to replay the entire mission over to find out how to proceed next.

At least they got the idea right and Blood money is one of my favorite all-time games - they learned from their mistakes but boy, did they ever make some whoppers in this game!
I liked Contracts and Blood Money so I will give it a try
Whole quadrology is sold in poland for equivalent of 9 bucks, so ill pass.

Funny how people say it's so difficult. I never had bigger problems finishing the game.

Ps. Hotel mission is great.

it may not be as good as the others, but it's still my favorite. I still remember playing it for the first time and thinking this is the best game ever.
Oh, and someone mentioned that final level is extremely difficult.

It's not. You just need to find minigun. :P
My God!, I didn't see this one because of Deus Ex!!!

Do you want to kill me of happiness gog!?
well.the first time I played Blood Money I have some trouble.but Codename:47 is harder than BM?

Or press Scroll Lock. ;)
It is, because you can't save the game during missions, you have limited money (at start) to buy weapons, but you don't really need them.

The only difficult part is - if you screw something up, you have to start the whole mission from the top. It has three continiues per mission, but there's no point in using them. You are respawned at starting point, but all guards are already hunting on you, so you will probably die again :P

But definitely worth playing.
Between Deus Ex and Hitman, i think Hitman suit my style. Don't have to put too much attention on every detail.
