Komerade! Is time to strap self into Mi-24 “Flying Tank” helicopter and take to skies!

The Hind MI-24, the most heavily gunned, massively armored, and fiercest flying battle platform of the Eastern Bloc, is now available on GOG.com for only $5.99.

“Hind” is a codename used by the NATO forces who first encountered this flying behemoth. The copter’s official name is Mi-24, while the Soviet troops nicknamed it the “Flying Tank”. The reason for that is quite self-explanatory: the Mi-24 is heavily-armored, rock-solid, and extremely well equipped with heavy weaponry. This is reflected in Digital Integration’s previous game, where your Apache Longbow could fly circles around the less agile Soviet equipment. The game mechanics, perfected from Digital Integration’s previous sim Apache Longbow, also reflect the changes to the gameplay between the slower gunship and infantry platform Hind and the agile and fast Apache.

You will pilot the Soviet super-copter in three campaigns: in Kazakhstan, against some anti-communist rebels; in Afghanistan, fighting mujaheddin soldiers; and in Korea, against American equipment. A total of 30 scenarios along with a few training missions will provide you hours of chopper-flying fun, and multiplayer for up to 8 people (find a friend with a copy of iEntertainment’s Apache Longbow and play Apache vs. Hind multiplayer!) adds to the fun. The game offers varying levels of difficulty, ranging from simply-shoot arcade mode to advanced realistic physics and full-on mission planning for advanced pilots.

Destroy your enemies Red Army-style when you drop 1500 kg of missiles on a target in Hind, available now on GOG.com for only $5.99.
Yes, more flight sims! You guys need to get the Janes sims and some of the other Microprose ones like Fleet Defender and the Falcon series. Janes is probably difficult, though, as I don't think EA have the licence for them any more.
When I click on any of the links in this article I get a '404 Page not found'. Perhaps you could change this? It might speed up sales of the game...

Oh, yeah... First you pound the enemies with rockets, then you evac the troops on the ground, then you crash on landing.
Interesting release but not for me. Filight sim fans rejoice.
Hey, didn't you already release this one before? :-p

In Soviet Russia, HIND shoot YOU!!! :-)

SOLD!
Good game.
Great for some but not for me

Inform me when we get to Falcon 4.0 :-)

an old D.I.D. sim would be nice also
Never was a huge fan of simulators before Operation Flashpoint but Hind was one of the few exceptions. In my memory it rewarded the effort that you put into learning it with some really exciting moments. I believe it was the first simulator I played that actually featured infantry - which totally blew my mind back then. I'll definitely pick it up out of pure nostalgia some day.
I haven't had the pleasure of playing this one before. I do think I'm going to like it an awful lot though. Seems like another excellent addition to GOG. Good work guys/gals.
OMG, FINALLY, my favorite helicopter sim! THANK YOU!
Does this release use DOSBox?

EDIT: It does. Thanks Lafazar!
