Heroes Chronicles is the pure essence of the Heroes of Might and Magic series, distilled and refined for more concentrated gaming goodness.

Heroes Chronicles contains the same genre-defining turn-based gameplay, but it has a bigger emphasis on experiencing a more complete story, and as a result the “one more turn”-factor is immense! Follow the steps of Tarnum, a barbarian who, upon hearing from a bard about a tale that barbarians were once ruled the continent of Antagarich, unites the savage tribes and wages war on everyone. This renegade has to serve the ancient Ancestors (the Barbarian gods) to redeem his soul in order to be permitted into the Paradise, the barbarian Valhalla.
Visit a plethora of places ranging from barren caves to lush jungles over the course of hundreds of centuries and several worlds. In the Elemental Plane, subjugate the Elemental Lords that want to conquer the real world. In the Underworld, deal with various powerful demons to retrieve a heroes soul--and more! Guide Tarnum through an epic story of struggle, success, defeat, and redemption, all in the awesome Heroes of Might and Magic universe.

This package contains all of the eight chapters of Tarnum’s saga for just $9.99!
I have been waiting since I first played the hero chronicles (when they were first released) to finish Tarnum's story...the last chapters were never released in the U.S. to my knowledge...now finally, I can find out his fate, I hope....Thank you GOG, this is probably the game I most wanted to see here that you didn't have...as silly as that sounds since there are so many great games, the Tarnum games always had a special place in my heart. Thanks guys, so much! =))
Will buy this, thanks for getting it GOG. :)

Now only missing are Crusaders of Might and Magic and HoMM 5 (include the two expansions, please).

NO.
Never say that again. ><

Why? I never played it, never found it in a store here.

I need it.

Just like I need Daikatana too. C'mon man. :)
This is fantastic. I have been waiting for this for quite a while. I have been playing the Heroes series against a friend for the last 2 years. We went through all the campaigns on Heroes I, II + expansion and III. (Plus both expansions.) We just finished the last level on the last expansion of Heroes III 2 weeks ago. (It really has taken 2 years to get this far in the series, with one game night a week.) We've been playing on the Impossible setting whenever possible, and re-doing the campaigns if there are more than one way to go. (ie: Heroes II, Price of Loyalty. You can play good or evil. And then there are multiple off-shoots in that campaign.)
We just started the Heroes Chronicles LAST WEEK. I have original disk editions of the first 4, as well as the Final Chapters. I also have the free downloads for Fiery Moon and World Tree. It took me a couple of hours to install them all on our two game computers.
For those of you that aren't sure whether it is worth your time and money to buy this 8 game pack because they are "just add-on packs", I have to tell you that for $10 it's more than worth it. It's taken us more than 10 hours to do the first 4 scenarios on the first campaign. (That's on impossible. If you did it on an easier setting it would probably only take 6 hours). So if you estimate a minimum of 20 hours per campaign, you are looking at 160+ hours of game play for $10!!! We don't expect to finish these 8 campaigns before Christmas! And then it's onto Heroes IV. Hopefully GOG will have a sale on Heroes IV before Christmas! <hint> :)
I just wish I could have gotten it 12 days ago, so that I could have saved myself the hassle of installing them all individually. I've just bought it, and installed it again on my computer. (Took about 5 minutes to install, and the sound it better on the GOG version.) I love the fact that GOG optimizes the old games to run on new systems. It's always much easier installing and using GOG games than the originals. GOG has all the patches installed and it runs way better than the disk versions.
If anyone has scores and times from any of the previous scenarioes I'd love to compare and see how you have done against us.

Don't wait for it to possibly go on sale at sometime in the distant future. This 8 pack deal is certainly worth $10.

Daikatana is on sale at right now. I know it's not GOG, but I don't see Daikatana showing up here too soon. It's $5, DRM free, and I even posted some helpful files and information. I've been playing through it again, and I like it more than ever.

It's not the first poorly rated game I've adored. GameSpot gave Hexen a 6/10, and gave the N64 port about the same score as the PC version of Daikatana. I thought Hexen 64 was a very good port, and the four player split-screen co-op and deathmatch was hours of fun. I still have a boxed copy of it, from those long ago days where owning my own computer to play it on simply wasn't possible. :P

On the subject of this game, I'm afraid the Interplay sale tapped me out. Much as I'm interested, I'll have to wishlist this for now.

I totally, completely forgot about this series! I always thought both HoMM and Warlords were never better than with the 3rd game in each series (HoMM III and Warlords III). I always felt like both series went downhill after their 3rd outing. WL in particular... I could never get used to having the characters so BIG and CLOSE to my face in WL4. I felt like I was suffocating...

Gotta get these...

Lexor: Liar! :D ;)
Okay.

I've never heard of it in a way that has left me with a conscious memory of such an event before.
I'm so weak-minded... I wishlisted it yesterday... only to buy it today. I hope you're proud, Gog, I hope you're proud... ^_^
Oau!
I've been on the road yesterday and haven't checked GoG.
Now what a surprise!
Is incredible.
This is the most awaited game for me on GoG. An instabuy!

I still can't believe it!...

First time I heard somebody give Diakatana a rave review.THe best I have heard it get before was a "Well, It's not that bad".....
People are entitled to their opinion, but those who think that Daikatana was a good game will always be a small cult, and I confess I smell a certain amount of "being contray to popular opinion for the sake of being contrary to popular opinion " in most of the Daikatana fans.

Hillsy_: Nice, though they should have had a promo for the HofM&M games; then you would have a sale.
Yes, HoMM promo, please! I already have HoMM2 & HoMM3 on GOG (bought for full price), but I'd complete my collection if there was a discount...
I wonder why this game doesn't have an advertising graphic on the homepage slideshow? I think it ought to have one.

I've noticed it, too; it isn't included in the flash loop.
I don't know if it's intentional or not, though, but I think it's the latter.
