I really dont want to make gog bad, if gog says:
Unbelievably low prices, i have the right to criticize them.

You certainly do, I just don't agree with you. If it is just the product you are looking at then yes you may find it slightly cheaper elsewhere, although I still think GOGs prices are competative. That doesn't account for the excellent service, modern OS compatability and the many extras such as soundtracks and wallpapers etc. that GOG provides its customers.
A well armoured planet is a paint to try and take - the key is to hit it with everything you have = even as far as moving a space station or two into range and then deploying them (since htey don't fire till deployed).
Once the planet is yours you can scuttle the stations, make new ones and then move on.
Or you can also make use of spies to damage the planet - infact always keep spies high on the importance list otherwise your opponent will run rings round you - especailly if they start detonating your ships.
Infact fleet sizes (from the origainal game) to me felt very limited as it was a small unit cap and ships lower down the tech tree became invalid fast - fighters had almost no use at all past the early campaign missions and once you get to battelships that is pretty much all you need to build/should build. I think the expansion tried to change this not sure,
Cant wait to play this looks well worth the $10 for it which works out at £6.50 sterling so the same price as the play.com version. Although from gog no disc in drive will work on vista 64 and no drm i am sold.
I'm a sucker for a good space sim.
Okay. Sold.
It looks interesting, I might give it a try.
Less than a fast-food lunch? Where the hell are you buying your fast food?!
The screens for this game look awesome.
Will have to wait until I have some cash :)

Ok, I was just about to tell my mate about the new release on GOG.com, then I realised I couldn't pronounce it....
(Didn't have any problems with the 'Gold Edition' part).
Any takers ?
