If I didn't have the boxed version I would have this as its a pretty cool game. The voice acting though as mentioned is terrible especially Traci Lords who is not known for 'acting' qualites.

yazleb: I'll have to help burst your bubble too Emre, sorry.
SEGA has the license for the Alien properties, Rebellion made the old one and is working on a new one, published by SEGA.
I hope we're wrong but as far as I've read that's the case.
It might be fun to see some of Sega's(ok I'll stop capitalizing) PC games on here.
Flesh Feast and Vigilance come to mind.

Sega's publishing all Alien licensed games, yeah. I don't know if they cancelled Alien RPG or whether Obsidian dropped it for a chance to work with the Fallout license again. Either way, it's a shame. But I doubt Obsidian are too upset.
As for Sega licensed games on GOG... dare I say, Total War! That would be impressive to see. Even if I already have all of them, they deserve a place here.
Hmm, I just realised; is this the first of GOG's games to be correctly registered in Games Explorer (with a GDF binary)? Even if you've already said you were working on that, it's always nice to actually see something happen :-D
Now that it IS working as it should, is there any way to stop Windows from doing its Legacy Game Detection magic on it? (yes I know I could simply hide the extra icon when it shows up)
Lords of Magic SE, Septerra Core and DN: Manhattan Project all show up in my game explorer however there are no actual details just boxart and developer.

You using Vista or 7?
In Vista it worked almost-right for all games, but 7 seems to be more picky about what to let in. I found out that GC1 also has a goggame.dll, but it wasn't used strangely enough, when editing the registry to pick it up in the same way GC2 is set up, that one also works nicely (although I'm not sure I like the boxart image they've embedded).
I'm using Win 7. Those games I mentioned are the ones that actually appear with others in the Games group. The other 12 are all under unspecified. Shame MS wont let you customise it yourself.
Good game, but in all honesty, it doesn't las long.
Some people think that it's because of the lack of resource gathering.
But still, it was the predcessor to World in Conflict, so yeah
I don't actually recall much about the voice acting, aside from the fact that Jennifer Hale voiced the dropship pilot. But yeah, other than that, nothing else really stood out. Wasn't great, but wasn't bad, either. But it -has- been a while since I've played it. I might need to grab it even though I still have both original games sitting right on my shelf not ten feet away.
doesn't last that long?
I've played the game on hard and it takes quite a while.
But i'm also the kind of guy that wants maximum troops. I never complete the level before i've taken down 3 enemy dropships (with troopers :d)
i'm gonna by this one because , well , the previous version i had had an bin extension ;)
