This is the only Gabriel Knight that I didn't play, so it'll be going straight to my wishlist. My cousin is going to go mad when I tell him it's released here though. GK2 is one of his faves, but he lost the CD some years ago. This news is gonna make him very happy.

MechaTofuPirate: Yeah but it would be way simpler to just have one package for $15 instead of 2 or 3 selling for different prices. I don't think having a new price point is going to confuse anyone.

I'm worried more about price inflation as publishers insist on the higher points for their new releases.

Lane: Any chance that King's Quest 6 will be the Windows CD version?

I asked similar questions regarding the KQ versions within the King's Quest sub-forum.
The trailer on the gamecard shows both dialogue & narration being fully voiced - so we can be fairly certain that the CD version is included.

JDV72: It's possible but I think that publishers have more common sense than to charge $15 or $20 on a game that's 5 or more years old, especially when the rest of the games on the site sell for $6 or $10. Plus I don't think GOG.com would be that big of a pushover. I mean, if they can talk Activision into releasing their older games without DRM, they can probably keep their prices low. They should at least package together their releases so you can buy the whole Gabriel Knight series for $15 instead of $18 (assuming GK3 is released for $6 too).

JDV72: But will it be the Windows version? (i.e. with the high-res portraits). That's what I'm curious about.

Please, continue the price discussion in this thread; even though that's clearly biased towards more price points now, we have had a number of threads turned into this type of discussion already.

Thanks for that link.
Concerning this release, I'm glad that GOG decided to release the GK games separately. It makes for more 'boxes' on my Great Wall of GOG. :)
Loved this game before, but never got the chance to finish it.
Thanks GoG!

well - for 6$ - there's no excuse for not finishing GK2 now !
it has very entertaining 'le grande finale ;)
Yeah you said it. I wasn't able to finish it because of a scratched disc 4...
Amazing so far, breezing through the first few chapters as I still remember most of the puzzle solutions.
I was stick on one puzzle in the first act. Silly thing was, I KNEW I had to find hair from the killer wolf to compare to the zoo wolf but couldn't find it. Thank god for UHS to help me out without spoiling things too much.
