Firedrake: Is there any way to edit the keyboard keys? I can't see any myself.
Firek: Go to Duke's Start Menu group and find the "Setup" shortcut. It will open the game's setup.exe file, which will let you edit your keys. :)
In any case, if people want a more refined experience, the fan-made ports for Duke3D do an excellent job to improve the game and make it a fluid experience...

eDuke32 , it also has improved option menus for easier key binding management and additional other options, it comes with an easy to use installer as well, it's very user friendly, and i recomend at leas to give it a try :)
