The Spring Site Update brought the new downloader, private messaging, various improvements to the overall GOG.com experience, and now we give all our users a free game!

[url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/dragonsphere]Dragonsphere - as that's another free game in our catalogue - is a classic point-and-click adventure game by MicroProse. Twenty years ago, your father King Of Gran Callahach, has imprisoned the evil sorcerer Sanwe in a Dragonsphere. Now the spell is waning, and you as the new king in your first and the most important quest have to stop Sanwe from taking his revenge. The story seems very typical - you as a hero have to save the world once again - but you cannot be more wrong about it as that's just the beginning. Discover what the real plot is all about traveling through beautifully drawn locations and solving challenging yet clever puzzles. Set yourself for a great journey, after all it's totally free on GOG.com!
A wonderful gesture, guys. Congratulations on the site update!

Don't get me wrong, i am a great fan of retro games, but this looks utterly bollocks. Even for free.
Anyway, if this is your kind of thing, good on you, enjoy.
thank you GoG =)
this game really tough, i might need a walkthrough soon.

deonast: I wonder about those large game downloads that are several gig download sections. Can you successfully download all at once via the browser. I've never tried (I'm probably thinking too much about other download sites that hate more than one at once).
I've DLed all my GOG games through the browser. Never had an issue.
I remember getting this game, but never made it work. It seems that now is finaly the time to try it out.
Thanks, GOG Gang! You're the best :)
Not to look a gifthorse in the mouth... but why are only point n click games free (I know theres one exception). Wouldnt it be more logical to have the first part of a longer series of games be free?
you get something for nothing and still twist

That's mighty kind of you. THanks.
GOG got a blurb about this release over at GamesRadar.
Oh neat! I thought the title sounded familiar so I checked on the page and I actually have played a little bit of this ages ago. I *think* I first got introduced to it by seeing somewhere it slightly being compared to the King's Quest games. I'll definitely give it a download and actually try to get somewhere in it. :P
Thank You Very Much GOG! You guys are so awe inspiring, I am so happy you are my #1 Internet Game dudes. : ) Another game that would get great response as Free here (I think) would be Darklands, its not an adventure game, but an RPG in 15th Century Germany, and it is awesome too. If any of you haven't played it look it up you may find it free elsewhere. Thanks again GOG, this is how you earn life time fan boys and girls!
Point and click adventure with an AWESOME plot. Graphics might be outdated but I highly recommend this game to anybody who loves a good fantasy story. Mighty thank you GOG.
I've been interested in this game since someone posted it in the "What is this game?" thread a while back.

Will download, but I'm not sure if I'll like it. I am pretty picky on adventure games, especially ones you can die in, and I know absolutely nothing about this.
