The Spring Site Update brought the new downloader, private messaging, various improvements to the overall GOG.com experience, and now we give all our users a free game!

so how do you update the gog.com downloader?

mine is the same as its always been and says beta next to the name.

ive had a couple adobe air updates, but nothing for the gog.com downloader itself.
how do i force an update or whatever?

you need to download the new version: http://www.gog.com/download/GOGDownloader.0.9.0.1336.zip

It's a complete rewrite, not really an update, and it doesn't use AIR anymore.
(also, it's still beta)

There's a WIP implementation for the MADS/M4 engine used by this game in the ScummVM repository. Maybe the availability of Dragonsphere for free will spur developer interest and it will get finished off at some point.
